The versions Ragns hosts are the HorribleSubs versions, and that group is a bunch of trolls, but they are the fastest.
Your software must be configured just so, or they do not play right.

For catch up purposes, you can just stream it off Crunchyroll. If you want it in a bigger picture, grab the torrents from Underwater Subs.

Yeah, VLC always used to freeze up on me randomly. I remember it froze up on me a bunch years ago when I was watching the FMA movie and decided to download Mediaplayer Classic and the CCCP after that. Haven't had any problems since -- except for sometimes when it won't properly play MP4s, but having Quicktime solves that..

I think I stopped using VLC about a year ago when its softsub capabilities were substandard. Have those improved?
