A: About Serendipity

Serendipity is a 6 year old, primarily EU shell.

Our members range from 18 to 60 in age.

Many of the members have been here for several years and there are still a handful who joined at the beginning. We're a friendly Endgame shell who doesn't camp Kings.

We do a bit of everything, but like most shells right now, our focus is turning to a lot of Abyssea content. We operate a wishlist system for Abyssea drops.

Past Success: Odin, Baha v2, Kirin Zergs, all KSNM99, VNM, ZNM, some Jailers, Limbus etc etc. All Dynamis zone wins.

Recent Success: All zone bosses/Caturae in Abyssea.

B: Rules:

• You only wear our pearl (only exception is for dynamis which doesn't clash/compete with our main events).
  
• You apply via the forum and will be on probation for 4 weeks.
  
• You must be at least 16 to join

C: Currently Recruiting:

We have a lot of melee. We're particularly looking for another reliable career WHM and a PLD. BLMs, RDMs and pet jobs encouraged but job flexibility is key. We really don't need any more one-melee jobs.


D: Requirements:

Please note that the following missions are useful to have complete and if you don't, it will reflect poorly on your application:

* CoP 3-5 (Sea access preferred but ch4 a minimum)
* ZM 13
* Due to the change in level cap we highly recommend at least one level 85 job.


E: Our Schedule:

• Tuesday: 7:30pm GMT, Abyssea
• Thursday: 7:30pm GMT Abyssea
• Saturday: 5:30pm GMT Dynamis (currently once a month)
• Sunday: 5:30pm GMT Walk of Echoes
• Sunday: 7:30pm GMT Main event

A lot of other stuff tends to happen in the week including lowman farming, limbus, salvage etc.


F: Application:

If you're interested in joining Serendipity, we ask you to create a Guildwork account and then submit an application.

Some questions will pop up, please take a few minutes to complete them and then submit your application. It will then go to the Officers for review. You will then be contacted.

If you pass the initial screening, we'll make you a Probationary Member of the linkshell. After 4 weeks your application will be reviewed and you will either be accepted, have your probation extended or be rejected. This is also the point where you can let us know if the shell isn't the right fit for you too.

Please don't take this process personally. We feel it's important to keep Serendipity the warm, welcoming and generally supportive community it is.

Apologies for the bump - our situation has changed and we're now advertising as primarily an EU shell. I have edited the main post to reflect this.

Please, do NOT apply to our shell if you're not willing to stick to one pearl for almost everything (dynamis excluded) and if your play time does not suit EU primetime. You'll only end up getting bored and frustrated and leave within a month. The shell is busiest between 18:00 and 00:00 GMT or 13:00 and 19:00 EST. Whilst there are members on most of the time if you play later than that, we may not suit.

We have a lot of job flexibility but we really need another career WHM and PLD who can offer other jobs when needed. I'm talking about people who consider these jobs their main and are willing to play them constantly. Rather than people who will play them but whine about it if we ask you to come on them more than once a week.

Otherwise we're looking for another RDM or two or some exceptional players with job flexibility.
