    Stormwing drops, 2.1

    I've only killed stormwing 2x since the update and it gave us

    1st run: Vorpal Jewel, Vorpal earrings(melee)

    2nd run: Stormwing's Greatsword, Vorpal earrings(mage)

    Was wondering what kinda drops other people on here have been getting.

    Would have done Stormwing more often if we could find templars but today we decided to say screw it and go with our usual setup in everything else: chanter, chanter, cleric, sin, spiritmaster and sorc(me). We tried with me tanking all the bosses to stormwing and it worked flawlessly :D

    I'll be starting stormwing hard mode runs with a static I just formed this sunday... we ran once shortly after 2.1, but got hung up on Isbariya. Decided to swap out our ranger and got a sorc now, so I think we'll be better off. For the fourth phase on him, do you guys do the strat that I think is a bug, where he stops fearing and you just kill him as if it were phase 1 again? I've heard you can do this, but when we tried he kept up the fears for the rest of the fight so I'm confused.

    The video I saw where he didn't fear past the first one was:

    If you guys do this method, do you know exactly what seems to "bug" him to stop the fears? As it stands, my group probably won't do it this way, but I might suggest it if I can find out more information...     He only fears from 30%~20%. We usually have everyone except the chanter stand at the door when he hits around 30%. The cleric just group heals the AoE (arcane/seething) while keeping the tank up, who's just getting hit with autoattacks. The chanter solos to around 30% just dpsing and hitting artifacts (for seething/arcane) once the boss is around 20% he won't fear anytmore, so just run in and kill like normal.

    My group does not bug him out during the final phase as of 2.1 and deals with the fears + stellar prophecy debuff. I'll go ahead and share the strat I use anyway in case it helps.

    During the final phase he has 2 cycles in between seething explosion/arcane combustion that he alternates between.

    Cycle #1: SP + Fear > Auto attacks > Seething/Arcane
    Cycle #2: SP + Fear > Auto attacks > SP + Fear > Seething/Arcane

    At 30% he changes to the final phase. Before this point everybody should be at the bottom of the stairs to outrange the fear. He will throw his arms up in the air as his casting animation for fear.

    If you are running a ranged heavy party, you can simply keep your distance the whole phase and damage him from the bottom of the stairs and move in to get the appropriate buff from the artifacts and run back down as needed and never have to worry about the fear as long as people aren't slow about moving back down once receiving an artifact buff.

    If you run a melee heavy party like I normally run, you have time after he uses his fear during cycle 1 to move into melee range and DPS the boss. Once he is casting seething or arcane, get the appropriate buff and run back down stairs. For cycle 2, all you can do safely is do any ranged damage you can, get the appropriate buff from the artifacts as needed, and run back down. I'm not sure if he always starts on cycle 1, but once you figure out the pattern he is on, you can determine his next sequence of skills and plan accordingly.

    In any case, for dealing with the stellar prophecy debuff, 3 people will be affected by the debuff at a time, but only 1 holy servant will appear in a random location near the party and will only dispel the person who attacks it before despawning (ranged attacks and magic work fine for attacking the servant). If your cleric is affected by the debuff, they should be the one to hit it. If the cleric isnt affected, then designate an order of priority based on your group's needs. For the 2 people who are affected and not being dispelled, they will take around 5500 damage + lose a very large amount of MP (4000+) when the debuff ticks to 0. The person who needs to be dispelled should prioritize hitting the servant before running in to get an artifact buff if they are forced to choose between the 2.

    Occasionally, the holy servant will pop in a location that is simply impossible to attack due to line of sight issues (underneath the stairs or inside of a pillar), in which case all 3 people targeted with the debuff will have to eat the hp/mp loss. It is a good idea for everybody, especially healers and mages, to bring a mind crystal, or an AP mana serum at the very minimum in case their MP gets zeroed out due to SP, and if you have a chanter, they can use magic recovery on the cleric if they get low MP.

    The final 30% is generally a 5 minute fight for my group, and takes about 10 minutes from 100%-0%.

    I did my first ever Besh run yesterday with a good friend of mine. I didn't know going in the entire group would be speaking French. Oh and it was hard mode. And most of the group had never done it before. So it was frustrating, but I learned a lot being thrown into the fire like that. Ha. Two eternal drops too.

    We basically follow Corwen's strat where we all move to the steps once phase 4 is about to begin.

    I've only done HM once and we did him exactly like that vid (kinda!)
    right before the fear phase starts every1 backs off to 65m but the sin. The sin needs to trigger fear phase and eat the 1st fear/curse and die to it, if all goes well once sin dies every1 can move back to boss and he wont use fear anymore.

    In that vid the tank and cleric staid at 65m, even after the sin died and every1 went to dps, idk why.
