Hopefully that map stuff is a place holder for future large scale DLC. The only other option i can think of would be areas droped very early in development.

when crafting I had a potion of smithing which gave +22% , i have 100 smithing skill all perks, and used gloves with 22% enhancing smithing results, I was able then to upgrade my daedric artifact from exquisite straight to epic,
Anyone on PC know how to change the appearance of your character via command console? I need to change my players eyes![]()
Good. I made a dumb decision on my eyes
For anyone who loses Lydia, like I just did (forgot I told her to wait someplace... freaked me out), the console command to insta-teleport to her on PC is:
player.moveto 000a2c94
In Oblivion, I had lock picking down to an art, but in skyrim, I have issues from time to time. I checked uesp, but didn't see where to get the skeleton key from. Where do I start the quest for that, or is it in a dungeon somewhere?
so anyone finish the 8 masks quest yet? i heard the mask is pretty awesome as far as what it does but i can't find any stats on it (or if it even has any)
She loses all the items you gave to her if she does this. Noticed she was missing during some Dark Brotherhood questing and found her back in my house in Whiterun with nothing but her Steel Sword. Made me pretty mad since I had decked her out in Legendary Ebony Gear.
A skeleton key for Skyrim would be so nice, a little part of me dies everytime the lockpick breaks and I have to wait like 4 seconds for the next one and hope I get it in the correct spot this time. Especially true for Adept+ locks which break lockpicks so damn quickly.
Anyone know where the Skeleton Key is or if there even is one?
I heard it was the reward for finishing the thieves guild quest. someone will have to confirm that though.
then again, 100 lockpicking gives you a skeleton key-like ability... but that requires 100 lockpicking and using up a bunch of perks.
Whenever I had her come back to my house after waiting, she'd be wearing her default armor, but she'd still have the armor/weapons I gave her in her inventory and would equip them when we went outside. I know she normally goes back home, but I forgot that I told her to wait in the first place and thought she just disappeared, lol. It was bad.
As for the skeleton key,
Spoiler: show
yeah, I was gonna do the lockpicking tree until someone pointed out that you get damn near infinite gold and enchanted crap by the end of the game anyway. remembering how filthy rich I was in Oblivion without even trying, suddenly the treasure hunter and gold boost perk seem much less useful.
Lockpicking is just cut and pasted from Fallout, minus the ability to scum through the game with a single lockpick by backing out until you found the spot. Picks are like 5 gold each, pretty much everyone has 1-3 to pickpocket, and they drop all the time. Keeping the skeleton key or getting that perk just seems like a waste to me.
Speaking of pickpocketing, is there any unique gear worth pickpocketing? I remember people planting gear in NPCs' inventories in Oblivion (and Fallout) to get them to take off some piece of gear they had, so the Pickpocketing 70/100 perks piqued my curiosity.
Need a link to that alchemy builder thing that somebody made. Or somebody can tell me what ingredients to use to make Alchemy+, Enchant+, and Smithing+ (if they have that). Going for uber uber uber uber damage on daedric bow. I've been levelling enchant as I've been going to prepare for this shit.
Go tell a new NPC to follow with you. If it says you already have someone Lydia's still out there somewhere. If the NPC comes with you take them a moment then tell them to leave and part ways. Now go to your house or to the jarls place or wherever she goes and Lydia might return there. That worked for me after I lost her at the mall or wherever she went. She still had all the shit I gave her but she had unequipped it until I told her to follow me again.
Anyone know if using the showracemenu command to alter your character is safe to use? I heard it messes with your stats or something, but not sure if it's like Oblivion where as long as you save and load
after making the changes instead of selecting finish on the character creation it doesn't alter stats.
