I dunno. I haven't done the Sheogorath quest yet but hopefully they at least address the events of Shivering Isles.
On an unrelated note, quest-reward perks:
Spoiler: show
nvm
I got the dog outside Markarth. Told him to wait somewhere, forgot about him, then yesterday I see a message "Your dog went home." out of nowhere. I can't remember where I told him to wait, check my house and he isn't there.
YO DOGG, I paid 500 gil for your ass, I expect you in my house not back with the guy that sold you to me. Who's going to fetch my slippers now when I want to be well-rested?
Anyone know a place to find a Fortify Speechcraft enchanted item? I don't like failing persuade checks![]()
Did you do the daedras best friend quest? He gives you a +10 enhancement to speech and a nice mask
Can you reset bounties with the console?
I have a bounty of 2 septims... but, I accidentally clicked 'death over prison' or whatever. I ran enough trying to evade them to fuck my temp save files and my nearest hard save was around two hours ago. Even if I run way the fuck away from Whiterun, they'll try to kill me on sight when I meet the first guard.
also, will stealing stuff come back and bite me in the ass if no one catches me? I don't mean if I get arrested and my stolen stuff gets taken away, but can you get in trouble eventually for taking things from peoples houses and shit?
For the daedras best friend quest you need to go to Falkreath and talk to the blacksmith. The blacksmith will ask you to find a lost dog and the quest goes from there. If you want to get the speech enhancement and the mask you can't betray the daedra so you need to give him the axe.
ok so yeah, said it before but for sure i'm convinced smithing/enchanting is way too op.
just finished the dark brotherhood quests wearing a chef's hat. i basically ran around while a horde of soldiers followed me around doing no damage. on master.
i don't really feel any pull or desire to go find new items or anything anymore. what's the point when nothing's better than what i made? it's too bad cause i really like the game a lot. but a lot the fun factor is gone for me now.
"HURR DURR I INTENTIONALLY BREAK GAME AND NOW IT TOO EASY THIS SUCKS"
Anybody have the OST? I am sad it's not commercially available.
not sure if its been posted but i though it was good for a rap...
Edit: if you don't like it i do not owe you your time back~
Regarding the stealing... has anyone else had hired thugs sent out to kill your character? Had three of them randomly approach and attack me out in the wilderness. One of them had a note with directions that they "teach me a lesson" for stealing from some NPC... though I've never been caught stealing/reported to guards/etc.
Also apparently had someone set a contract with the Dark Brotherhood to kill me. Similar situation: assassin tries to kill me, has a note on him stating the contract to kill me.
Nifty stuff.
Maxing Smithing and Enchanting isn't really breaking the game. It's not like it requires Alchemy or Console abuse to get top tier stuff. Just naturally progressing up the Smithing and Enchanting trees and taking Heavy Armor perks has me at around 1300 Armor rating right now. I haven't even touched Alchemy my whole game, and I literally cannot die even on Master mode.
One of my favorite parts of the early game is hacking through a dungeon and then being randomly two-shotted by the boss at the end. It kept fear alive. Now, when I can literally sit down and skill block from 66-100 on the same Draugr Death Overlord without taking a single point of damage, finishing quests and clearing dungeons feels much less rewarding.
I've only just hit level 50, but the game has been dying down since 40. I don't think I'll end up skilling everything on my first character, if only because there's nothing interesting to skill the rest of my skills up on. I'd just be sitting there grinding them out to look at the new number.
With that said, I think there's a lot of potential in re-rolling a completely different class - especially one that's hard as balls to play, like a pure mage. It could even be interesting to start out on Master difficulty, before you get access to all the OP crap near the end of the game. I'm just not really a fan of having legit god mode without even bothering to abuse crap.
Edit: @Above, those are scripted events. I was the listener of the Dark Brotherhood when the assassin came and tried to kill me, so I thought it was funny. Taught her not to mess with me pretty quickly.
Yeah I had a feeling they were. Pretty nifty regardless though... definitely love the way that random stuff like that happens while you're out exploring.
