He's doing a lot of things wrong, and chalking them all up to being "flaws".

Perhaps your brain is the flawed thing in this discussion?

Bugs, crashes, glitches; those are flaws. System designs are not flaws, especially when those system designs are what makes the game/series what it is. You don't like those "systems"; you play another game, or you mod the systems into what you want. Its that simple. Every one of your "flaws" can be easily modded or even bypassed with simple console commands. Just toggle off weight if you're getting your panties that sullied over it.

In fact, the combat issues I've mentioned a few times are largely centered on the lack of use for power attacks as a melee, that and the retarded "wtf I just hit that dude directly in the head absolutely no question and it counted it as a miss, meanwhile he swung his sword 20 feet away from me and took half my life" crap.
Power attacks definitely do more than like 2% more damage, as a bonus they also tend to stagger your enemies (this means more openings for rape time). Now obviously the swing on the power attack is going to be different from your normal swing, you have to adjust accordingly. If it is missing you simply aren't aiming correctly. Keep using them til you get used to them or don't attempt to use them at all (as you have been doing) but don't spread misinfo on 'em.

, and really, inventory as a flaw? I suppose we should go back to the glorious FF days where you could carry 99 of everything with no problem, and once that 99 was filled up, just start a new pile of 99?

    Get over it.
Yes, yes we should. It's fucking retarded to make me constantly worry about having too much cool stuff.

I like your logic, Plow. "Because I don't like it, its a flaw. Because others may not mind it, they are just fanboys and stupid." Apply that to government and whoa there, we have the perfect Conservative/Liberal battle!
Not at all, it's people telling me I'm retarded and wrong because I disagree with them on opinion shit that are idiot fanboys.

    Like you, for example.

It's funny how you keep telling me I'm doing shit wrong but nobody can name a single actual thing I'm doing wrong, just NUH UH UR DOIN IT WRONG.

oh and STOP CARRYING 5 TONS OF BROOMS cuz I definitely couldn't figure that one out the instant I saw weight and value ratings on items

further, for the 500000000th time, you're taking my list of rules thaat was in response to someone literally saying there's no rules and saying it's a list of flaws

I never said you're retarded, so please learn to read, and then learn to comprehend.

I'll say it again: your "flaws" are not flaws at all. They are systems. If you do not like the systems of a game, you either mod the systems, or you cease playing the game. You don't come into the very game's forum thread and start shooting off your opinion as if it carries more weight than everyone else that's enjoying your "flaws". You can toggle the damned weight off, so you can get back to carrying all your "cool stuff" again.

Such a baby over fucking carrying weight, Jesus. I'd hate to see how you played Armored Core. "Oh my God, this game is flawed! I can't stack all these heavy bazookas and missile racks on this tiny little frame and still dart around the battlefield! What a crock!"

Edit: When the fuck did I talk about brooms? You keep clinging to that Penny Arcade link like its your bible for this discussion. Make everyone's life easier and disable your carrying inventory weight, so you can shut the fuck up and we can get back to posting about the what's actually -in- the game. If you don't have it on PC, tough fucking luck. Buy it for the right medium next time.

But, again, it's hilariously ironic listening to people talk about how the game is so full of freedom while telling me I'm dumb because they assume if I'm not absolutely in love with the game I must be playing it differently from them, and that playing differently from them is wrong.
What inventory issues? I have literally had NO issues while playing this game. Toss crap to your companion, visit cities often to sell junk, don't pick up every piece of steel armor you find when it's value is only 100-400gold. Don't pick up 3000 magika potions when you only use spells once every 4 hrs or so.

The game is full of freedom, you can't possibly name me another game that has as much freedom as Skyrim right now, hell even MMOs bottleneck you more then Skyrim. Sure it's much of the same once you've done your 59th dungeon, but there is even variety there, it's always interesting when I stumble upon a dwarmer (sp?) underground city, then find out the Falmer had invaded into it and go even further down. Which annoys me the most is that going through a dungeon that takes 30mins, often time ends with crap loot that isnt even special/interesting looking...HOWEVER once the goddamn CS finally gets released (come the fuck on Bethesda) all that will change with the amount of mods that will go up.

And the CS better be released soon, or it will be seen as Bethesda just alienating the PC community because the console gamers will get upset they don't have mods or some such nonsense.

In fact, the combat issues I've mentioned a few times are largely centered on the lack of use for power attacks as a melee
*Insert You're doing it wrong jpeg here*

Seriously, if you ARNT using power attacks as a melee, you're doing it terribly wrong. How are you missing with them? Sure I miss every now and then on my orc, but that's while I rush into the fray, once you get the guy cornered you can cleave his face in pretty fast if you position yourself.

Also there are side to side power attacks and you can get bonuses to cleave multiple targets like that.

You only have to constantly worry because you refused to upgrade a useful attribute, and then wear heavy as shit heavy armor. There's also a perk that increases your carry capacity by 100. I bet you don't have that either.

But hey, if it bothers you that much that you cannot stuff your inventory with a million pounds of useless shit, you can just download this, and you don't have to worry about it anymore.

Christ, get the fuck off his case. I love Skyrim, but you guys are freaking the fuck out over nothing.

Plow: Power attacks are mainly handy for staggering opponents, and getting the side/charging/backwards bonuses. You actually do different power attacks based on which way you're holding a strafe button when charging it. Backwards power attacks can paralyze opponents (with a perk), and Charging power attacks deal critical damage. They also break an opponent's block, as hitting a blocking opponent with a normal attack staggers you. Some weapons can even chain their attacks into Power Attacks for some vicious combos, doing more damage over time than either one alone. Ex: With one handed sword, going Attack>Forward Power Attack is basically a quick double slash for a boatload of damage.

I've done about 60:40 Health:Stamina on my melee character and I still wish I had more of it. Staggerlocking, Block breaking, and Combos are nice.

I like how he thinks "freedom" means he should be able to carry fucking absurd amounts of items around with him in his adventures.

The freedom is in your actions and decisions, not in your ability to defy physics and bend the world to your will. There has to be boundries or else you might as well just turn on godmode and no-clip and fly around the world at your leisure.

It's like a massive 3D first-person Ultima. You want a boat? You need a ship deed. You want that ship deed? Save up a lot of money and buy it off the ship selling guy... or shut all the doors and windows, murder him in cold blood, take the deeds off his dead body, and toss him in the closet... or break into the shop at night, pick his safe open and steal the deeds... or sneak in his house while he's sleeping, steal his key, unlock his safe and steal the deeds... etc. All of these actions would uniformly earn you a boat.

    Exactly my point.

Everything I point out is supposedly me coming up with "flaws" when this entire discussion was about rather or not there are rules.

You're full of shit and you're nothing but a fanboy that can't bother with actual arguments, hence accusing me of shit you cannot support in the least.

If you want to say I'm sitting around doing nothing but pointing out "flaws", then name one single flaw I've mentioned as such.

Further, show me how I'm wrong about said flaw.

I've not gotten any of the combos going, haven't really tried, though. Everything dies so easily from running in circles mashing a button when shit lines up right that risking the results of a missed power attack just to make it slightly faster is simply not worth it.

Bashing dragon breath is cool, but I don't think there's anything that comboes to shield bash heh, I could be wrong, though.

Personally I just went all out health until I found a couple cool spells I didn't have enough mana to cast and then tossed a couple in there.

All of you guys were perfectly fine with FFXI's inventory design and think that adding mog locker etc. was just retarded and should never have happened then, right?

Let alone sack/satchel, omg what crybabies ffxi players were.

Final Fantasy didn't have it. Those shops were always open! I could always just hop off the airship and start shoppin'. Hell, this game doesn't have an airship. That's a goddamn flaw right there.

You're too easy, Plow. Again, I'm not doing your homework for you. Everyone has already given you countless ways to circumvent your "flaw". Whether you do it is up to you, but at least shut up about complaining about something that has no less than 5 solutions, both in-game and through mods.

Edit: Nice assumption there, Pal. You sure know exactly what I thought about XI's PS2 inventory nonsense.

Plow, I suggest upping the difficulty if you're finding combat too easy. It might not fix much, but you'll at least have to try... sometimes.

But I'll reiterate my earlier point. I think TES games are very, very good for people who like D&D. If you don't like D&D, chances are you won't like TES games.

Also, Lucavi, it sounds like he's on a console. So no mods.

    FFXI had shop timers.

Nice straw man you're attempting to build there since you're completely full of shit and can't actually make the argument you wish you could.

Also, I'm on ps3, stop telling me to mod ><
