an enchanter could make better pieces, but it takes a long time to reach that point, and if you don't wear heavy armor the whole game your heavy armor skill will be gimped. so in theory it still pays to wear robes and hoods unless you want to gimp yourself for most of the game in order to be strong as fuck later on.

Eh, it's not really hard to level armor skills. Just stand around being hit by something and spam healing spells. Or just pay a trainer. Either way.

Besides, armor apparently caps at 672, so heavy armor is pointless, since that's easy to reach with light armor.

i was really let down by it and the fuck at the blades asking me to kill parthanax fuck them. did anyone els go thru with it? i didnt.

I tried but it bugs if you don't let him get up and fly around for a minute before you start smashing him, so when he rezzed I just assumed it was some dumb ploy and he was unkillable like pretty much everyone else I've most badly wanted to kill.

Which, of course, means that once I finished the main story all the Blades quests are locked out permanently.

I tell my companion to activate the pillar, they go get sucked in and bound to it (doesn't react or say anything about being stuck to a pillar, but ok), I kill them with the Sacrificial Dagger, Boethia possesses their body, the quest says I need to now speak with Boethia through the conduit body... Every time I try to speak to her, it just repeatedly gives me the generic non-conversational dialog "auuugh, wearing flesh is so distasteful" and won't actually initiate conversation.

Weird question, but are the cultists alive? Try killing them all before you do anything with the pillar.

Nope, I pulled a Sacrificial Dagger off of the cultist that died in the little dual they were having when I showed up. Other than that, none of them are dead. I did try killing them all just now, which made the last one down turn into Boethia's conduit... which had the exact same problem, talking just triggers idle jib-jab, no actual conversation.

you are not talking about this game reasonably. you are bitching and moaning like a cunt on crack. you seem to come in this thread for no reason other than to complain about the game; it's not necessary. we understand your feelings and while we disagree, we respect your right to not like the game. as I've already said, it's not perfect and nobody's claiming it is. but if you don't have anything new (and more importantly, constructive) to add, I would expect you're reasonable enough to find a better way to spend your time than to cry about it on BG.

Originally I decided not to kill him, but after finishing the main story I went back and killed him so I could do the blades quests.

Even though he flies away at the end of the main story he was still back at the throat of the world when I went back to kill him.

What do you mean, like you take a ton of damage? Can you please tell me what you're fighting? I'm wondering if my game is glitched or something...I don't mean to sound like a douche, but my armor is around ~900, sword I think is around 500~, and I'm untouchable...I just run around a dungeon and get a train, then go to a spot and mow them down all at once. It's at least fun to feel like I'm recreating the scene from Oldboy. Except in Oldboy, they actually did damage against him =/

Only thing that used to do damage on me was magic, but I have a lot of magic resist on my gear.

edit: and yes, I'm on Master. I half-killed a weaker dragon by standing there and getting my heavy armor/block to proc and skill-up -- it died because I was wearing the daedric Ebony Armor that poisons opponents...I did heal occasionally, but still...camaaaan.
