The voice acting I can understand.
There's a certain annoyance that every guard was an adventurer and they were shot in the knee and other repeated dialogue. To add to this, the guards should of had separate voice actors from the other NPCs instead of reusing them over and over again.
She's dumb to not follow the story and pay attention to why you get the shouts/why you are dragonborn.
Boobs had a third nipple on it btw
My only gripe with the repetitive VA was after I had racked up a mere 140 Whiterun bounty. They arrested me, I escaped, bounty was still at 140. The problem was though that they didn't arrest me again, but EVERY SINGLE GUARD in Whiterus would just say "Hey... I know you!" every time I was near them. That was it, nothing else.
Finally once I hit Thieves Guild max I just upped my bounty more until they tried to arrest me again and bribed my way clear. Now they are back to their 'witty' banter again. I could do without the Arnold Schwarzenegger voice though...
To be brutally honest, Skyrim does a great job at hiding its flaws during the first 10-20 hours of the game but after that they start becoming more and more obvious.
This is why it got such high review scores shortly after the release but now it's getting a lot of criticism.
I honestly couldn't bring myself to finish it. I stopped playing after Alduin 1 and have no desire to keep going on further.
Yeah I ended up stopping around the same point. I want to finish it, but this is the problem I have with all Bethseda games, I just can't finish it after doing too many side quests.
I'll try to finish it by Tuesday before SWTOR comes out. In the mean time I just got Saints Row 3 and that's also time consuming and fun.
I think the biggest problem with Skyrim is the plot. "Kill the big bad dragon" is a bit too simple for today's standards. I'd rather have a convulted, nonsensical and poorly written story that actually makes me wonder what's going to happen next over something so simple.
I'm liking Skyrim a lot more than oblivion. Every quest is interesting and fun. The random "kill this bandit leader at this place" is a little 'meh' but all of the main questlines have been pretty good. hell a lot of the sidequests are nice too as it's something to do in between major or during major questlines too.
I love the voice acting and yeah i've pretty much heard all the VAs but that hasn't bugged me at all for some reason. I think I might just be ignoring how the character voices sound and paying more attention to their plights or thoughts on matters concerning the state of skyrim. I listen to like all the NPCs and wait for them to finish saying stuff. (except i'll speed click through stuff I've already heard before, like shopkeeps). Alduin's and Paar's voices I like the best.
I really liked the direction for the dark brotherhood questlines. It really made me feel like I was involved in the story and I definitely shared some the feelings the other characters had. I absolutely loved the big assassination plot and I always had that doubt feeling in the back of my mind that something was going to go wrong but I just didn't know when and it hit at the perfect moment I think.
I think Markarth and the Reach has to be my favorite area in the game so far. "The Bloodiest Beef in the Reach! hahaha" and dat female forsworn armor. I've got an enchanted/smithed set perma'd on my char. Light armor skill is hella low too so playing on master is fun. It's pretty much like "I have to either sneak kill this enemy before he gets to me or fire a shot and sneak the hell away because he will one shot me." I've dumped all 30-something levels into stamina too. I can't take much of a beating at all but I can sprint the fuck away for a very very long time. Quicksave like after every single enemy encounter.
Skyrim is definitely the most fun I've had playing a game in a very long while.
EDIT: And I forgot where but this one NPC had the "I used to do something something..." but instead of "arrow to the knee" he said "until I took a sword through the chest." I was like: "damn son, fucking hardcore dude right here."
If you don't want a bunch of random quests in your log, don't talk to bartenders or hobos.
Sword/Shield is overpowered, btw... but it's also fucking awesome. Can take on giants at level 24.
For that chick not whoring her tits out for views, she sure seems to be comfortable throwing everything else out on her website:
No nudity, but NSFW

Something about that last picture is just.....gross(?) to me for some reason.
oh man lol. I hate these types of women, its obviously a lie and she's just crying for attention. I often wonder if they truly enjoy gaming or just think its a fun angle. I'm fairly sensitive about the way I dress, because yes she is top heavy and it IS hard to find shirts but yeah... there are plenty of shirts that would be more appropriate and didn't scream "whore" but if you check out her site or flickr stream... really enough said there.
Here is an prime example of her whoring out her boobs.. also, if the print on the shirt was different, would be perfectly fine to wear.

These are just... yea...

I mean, by all means enjoy the eyecandy... but seriously this is the reason men don't take women gamers seriously.
It's really just silly to claim that you're not using sex appeal when you also do modeling on the side. Honestly, I don't particularly care that much that she's doing it, but she may as well own up to it.
Re shirts though, I have female gamer friends with much bigger tits (eg, 34F) that can still find shirts that they don't fall out of constantly or that paint a big, red X on their boobs. In fact, I almost never see them wearing halters or anything more innocuous than tank tops unless they're intentionally flaunting it for a night on the town or something. Shit's stupid. There is also always the option of doing reviews off-camera, so that the focus is on the game rather than the breasts in front of it - which is the point, isn't it?
Back OT sorta: what are the odds that Skyrim will have some sort of sale this Christmas/a Daily Deal? I'm definitely buying it through Steam, but I'm not sure if I should hold out and see if it has one, or if it's so new there's not a chance.
Some of the pictures on her site make me think she either has recent fake boobies or she's ALL bra.
The whole thing was awkward to watch, but I don't disagree with her point. It's very easy to get addicted to this kind of grind.
These generics quests are hardly "content" tho. You can't blame someone for not being thrilled about completing trivial task over and over.
...is this what passes for attractive when it comes to gamer women?
I mean I may be gay but I know hot when I see it. and this is not hot.
she has nice tits, she isn't hot, but cute enough with nice tits = fuck
Did anyone else get an update from steam and now when they launch Skyrim it goes into an infinite loop of loading the game?![]()
