I haven't had any issues since the latest patch. I used to CTD occaisionally, but not recently. The first weekend I was playing was the only time I had huge issues, where the cutscene scripts wouldn't trigger appropriately so I would be in a CS involving Alduin and he would never land. In those cases I would just reload and it would fix the issue.

I've had 2 quest related issues, including the companions quest, which i fixed via console commands.

Did any of you encounter that esbryn bug? He's an npc for a quest(in the main story line i think) and lives behind a locked door in the ratway warrens.(in riften) When you talk to him, he has no voice. As a result of this, he never opens the door for you to continue the quest. I had to go into the voice archives for skyrim, and pull all of his out and put it in the correct directory structure, after that he has a voice and can continue the quest.

My real question was if this issue was also a problem on the consoles, if it was, seems like that would be pretty game breaking seeing as how you wouldn't be able to fix the main story line quest.

I've heard it happens on consoles and don't know how they fixed it. Your directory fix sounds so simple it's surprising Bethesda hasn't fixed it.

My Esbern never talked so I almost wanted to kill him when he told me to kill Paarth. Blades are such tools. He also ruined the quest a few times whenver he did try to talk and I had to setstage out of it, like the wall in the Blades lair or the diplomacy meeting at High Hrothgar.

Is there any use to books that don't have stats or abilities listed on them like the scroll books? I've just been hording them and they are starting to take up a lot of room.

and selling stuff to shop people; Do I need to be careful and watch what I sell so I don't accidentally sell a quest item, or are quest items left out of the menu?

I'm 9 hours in, got to whiterun, joined the companions and am supposed to be heading to collect some shard thingy, but even still I'm able to 1-shot everything with my bow if I get a sneak attack. (though in fairness, I do have it so my bow does 60% more dmg.) I know enemies get stronger, but if I keep leveling up and focusing on bow/sneaking dmg, will this trend continue or will I soon start to see that stop happening?

I spend probably half of my game just managing my inventory. Do I really just need to be picky about what I pick up all the time forever, or is there something later that will alleviate some of the annoyance?


aaand something i thought was hilarious just happened. Was on my way to Dustman's Cairin, but got sidetracked and went to Drelas' Cottage, A guy was there who apparently didn't like me all that much. Killed him left and saw a dragon symbol thing on the radar so I started heading towards it. Found an Ice troll and attacked it, quickly realizing I wouldn't stand a chance, so I ran. Then I noticed some guy chasing after me as well. Troll is far behind so I decide to charge after the guy to kill him, only to realize he's an npc whose giving me a quest or something, so i talk to him. Then I notice the troll is still coming. Fugitive guy gives me something and is then quickly killed by the troll who jumps and smashes him into the ground and then kills me. Now I just killed some skeleton dudes in a cemetery staring at this chest next to a big ass tomb because I know as soon as I open the chest, something big is going to come out of it... nvm, it came out before and it was some stupid small dredger guy. and the chest is a master lock so I cant open it ; ;

Most are just for lore. There's the odd book here and there that will be needed for a quest but most of them are skill books anyway, so if you're holding onto those you should be fine.

Quest items can't be sold. You can definitely accidentally sell, say, a daedric artifact though, and then have to pay several thousand septims to get it back. Still, important and expensive items don't disappear when the shopkeeper's inventory refreshes.

It will get much worse unless you limit yourself. You can turn up the difficulty though.

There's a Pickpocketing perk that adds 100 carry weight, a standing stone that adds 100 carry weight, you can put ~280 carry weight on your armor with 100 enchanting, there's a perk in both armor trees that makes the armor you're currently wearing weightless (or, aforementioned standing stone gives you this effect as well), and every time you take stamina at level up you gain 5 carry weight. That being said, you can never really just pick up every single thing you come across.

I enjoyed it bought from steam played it 5 days straight other then work and school, then stopped after I finished most of the quest lines, theres some flaws here and there but if you can look past it it's pretty darn fun, play around with builds and see what works best for you.

I pirated it and feel horrible for putting over 120 hours into it without buying it. I plan to amend myself by purchasing the collectors edition.

Of course it does help that I fucking love Norse mythology and vikings.

They're both amazing games but I don't see Arkham City lasting 3 weeks. Skyrim has lasted me a month so far and I still feel like there's a ton of shit for me to do.

just finished negotiating a temporary peace between empire and stormcloaks, and delphine tells me i have to kill parthunax for some bullshit reason that doesn't even make sense. I am really angry there is no dialogue options to tell her to fuck off, im tempted to put an arrow in her head to see if that alleviates the problem but it's probably required by the story.
edit: tried to kill that bitch, shes invincible.

edit2: nvm after reading a bit more it appears there are some options and I'm not forced into this path

i was really enjoying the main story quest and then it took an arrow to the knee.

logged about 140hrs+ and am now pretty bored with the game, but it did exactly what i wanted it to do, and was well worth my money, had alot of fun, especially with conjuration.

Ok fuckers. What is the best way to level enchanting? I've leveled smithing up, now I would like to be able to create some fantastical god killing weapons and armor.

You should've been enchanting the stuff you made. Take a pile of soul gems and a pile of iron daggers and enchant them with the most expensive enchants you know. If you need soul gems, dwarven automatons are lousy with them.

also deconstruct as many items as you can. you'll get their effects for enchanting and you'll get skill points as well. I was only around enchanting level 30 but I'd usually get a whole skill level per item.

I'd pretty much stop by my enchanting altar every time I came back to town and disenchant anything I could, even before selling off loot.

There's only so many enchantments to learn and they stop being a significant chunk of your level pretty quickly. Recharging weapons also raises your skill, but the quickest and most efficient way to level Enchanting is by enchanting things.

Yeah, best strategy is to level enchanting at the same time as smithing. For me, I'd go to the College of Winterhold, buy up everyone's supply of soul gems, go into the world and hunt everything with conjured weapons. Since a lot of it was deer, bears, etc I'd end up with a ton of skins to go to Whiterun and convert to leather bracers. Crafted those, then enchanted them. The hardest part was selling all of them, but it definitely got me both to 100 fairly quickly.

In a recap of my experience... This was my first Elder Scrolls game and I was really excited to play it. Had a blast for a couple weeks. Was really clueless on the mechanics of the game... Was level 30 before I realized that skilling up one-handed, two-handed, or w/e was the way to level up. Level 62 now and pretty much dominate everything. Got kinda bored running around killing shit np. (@ 90+ dragon bones) Still have fun completing a quest, but its not even close to how it was. I need to play a different way to level up at this point which kinda sucks when doing quests and when the enemies compare to your level. Mage shit is kinda lame to me, but I'm slowly getting into it. Gearing up a Dragon heavy armor set with mage stats.

Skyrim Online turns your single experience into an online experience, play with your friends, chat with people worldwide, trade with other players...

Currently in the alpha stage you can see other players (appearing as naked prisoners), you can also chat with everybody.

The mod also includes an Arena to fight with waves of creeps.

Installation :

0) Back up your config files, this mod will rewrite them !!!
1) Unrar the file in your Skyrim root folder.
2) Create a shortcut for SkyrimOnline.exe on your desktop

Usage :

- Start SkyrimOnline.exe, it will automatically update the mod and then allow you to start the game with the mod.
- When you enter the game, you will be prompted for a username, enter whatever username you feel like using there is no authentication yet.
- To switch between UI mode and Game mode press F3.
- Numpad 7 8 9 are used for the arena, try them out.

Known bugs :

- In UI mode some keys are sill enabled such as Journal and Wait, you might want to bind these keys to keys that are not needed in the UI (I personally use £ and µ).
- Compatibility issues with some mods (no list available)
- Breaks Fast Travel !
- Leaves players there if you save the game with players around.
- Crashes on start (unknown reason, happened to a few people)

Trouble shoot :

OH NOES it broke fast travel even after uninstall it !!!!?!
- You just have to delete the saves you made while playing Skyrim Online and it will work again !

Uninstalling :

- Delete SkyrimOnline.asi, SkyrimOnlineProxy.dll, enbpatch.ini, d3d9.dll
