Is there a hard way to not make money?
serious question.
I'm sitting on 75k gold and have nothing to buy with it. And my house is filled with stuff I still need to sell to vendors but I don't feel to traveling to a dozen different towns just to sell them.
yeah i was hoping for a way that didnt involve enchanting or running to every city selling stuff lol
You obviously didn't really look at my 'history' in the thead if you think this. I posted normally about the game like everyone else, super hyped before release, gameplay talk as it was ongoing, I even made a fucking website that got really popular for alchemy recipes. I was this game's advocate for a long time before I stepped back and started to evaluate it and voice it's flaws. Singing a game's praises blindly is overlooked but a negative opinion is labeled immediately as BRP rule? Let's be real here, that's kind of lame, Tonko.
You voiced it's flaws. I didn't do anything. You continued to voice them, and attack anyone who disagreed with you, I warned you. You continued to be negative for the sake of being negative with nothing constructive to add, you got infracted. End of story, take it up with Sonomaa if you don't like it.
Well... considering that is exactly what happened to BRP, you should kind of expect it.
This shit ain't new.
Most of BG's mods, especially Tonko... REALLY fucking suck at what they do.
But really, I'm trying to think of a new challenge for skyrim... I've already done a Lv1 character, I don't think I'd want to do a Lv1 with more restrictions because that would just be boring.
EDIT: I would like to add that really the only part of the Lv1 run that made it truly fun was that I couldn't take any of the craft skill perks to make broken armor and the like. Finding good new gear actually meant something and it was a half-way blind run since I didn't really do much on my character prior to that.
Now that I know exactly where a lot of good stuff is, I don't think any run of that sort would be quite as 'challenging'.

This is the one thing I hated about this game. There was absolutely no reason to buy anything. Iron sword? No thanks I can make my own glass one for half the price. Oh I see you now have Glass items in stock; thats cool I only have 40 dragon bones and scales to make even better gear now.
Hardest part about the money for me is finding people with enough money to sell things to.. Do you guys just accept the loss and sell your things to people? I still need to get the perk that increases the amount of gold shopkeepers have by 1000, but even with that, I have a bunch of gear I'd have to eat a big loss on...
There's a point at which money becomes arbitrary relative to your patience for waiting and running around to vendors. You can do that, or just player.additem f 500000 and stop picking up shit that isn't interesting. I haven't actually gotten to that point yet, but it's not really very far away. I don't pick up weapons/armor below ebony/glass level at all, except for those rare times I've found an enchantment I don't have. I recently found some kind of shitty +dmg to animals enchantment, so I picked that up just to have it, even if I'd never, ever use it, because I can put +60 elemental damage or soultrap/paralyze or twin absorbs.
I haven't really touched Block; maybe a run with a shield as your only weapon might be interesting? No combat magic, no unarmed, just shield bashes.
has anyone found a decent mod for arrowcrafting? The one I had looked at before seemed like it only had recipes to craft arrows currently in game, was looking for recipes that added some recipes, something that i could craft these dragon scales/bones into, dragon scale/bone arrows would be pimp.
=/ This thread would not have gone anywhere if we were only allowed to talk about the "good things". This is a 163 page thread. The good shit has been rehashed 10,000 times already. The remainder of relevant discussion is going to be what happens in the metagame/post-game phases, which just so happens to be notoriously shit-tier. You screwed the pooch on this one, and sticking to your guns on it just makes you look like you care more about your ego than doing your job.
And yes. The only limiting factor with gold is how patient you are about fast traveling and selling shit to all the different merchants in the game, since they all only carry about 500-700 gold unless you throw a ton of perks into an otherwise-useless skill tree. Dragons pop up like every single time you fast travel after a certain point in the main story, though, so really you should never be short on ways to get gold. Just sell off the hordes of dragon bones and scales you will inevitably pick up.
Or, if you're on PC, just do what I started doing after a while on my first character and player.additem f [item value * 0.2] and just drop stuff rather than selling it to an NPC. Same end result, no merchant gold restriction.
At what point did I say you could only talk about the good things?
becoming the thieves guild guildmaster gets you like 20 leveled gold rewards (usually around 800 above 46), access to a merchant with ~4500 gold to trade with, and a chest that spawns like 1k gold and a gem every other day.
man... twilight sepulcher quest is bugged as hell...

I hit 100k on my goody-two-shoes character fairly quickly, still didn't hit that on my thief. My thief was my first character though, and I sold all of the daggers that I enchanted going from 20 to 100 enchanting making "banish" weapons with on the good character, do that probably had more to do with it.
Money had only been an issue for me right at the start of the game, and even then it isn't that difficult.
Souj, I had the same problem as well. I ended up reloading the game numerous times and waiting a few days in the area. After a while Karliah started talking to me out of the blue. So it does seem to correct itself. Just not right away. Tonko gave me a mod sass infraction years ago. I still hate him for it!![]()
you are allowed to talk about negative points in the game, hell Im annoyed that mine randomly crashes to desktop after a few hours, shit sucks a dick
you arent however, allowed to rag on somebody elses preferred way of playing the game because you dont like it.
also fuck white knights, were supposed to be dick knights
