What if their preferred way of playing is legitimately stupid, are we then allowed to rag on them like it were 2006 and ffxi all over again?
hey, my internet is down for the week. any idea on how to play Skyrim without connecting to Steam? I've tried "offline mode," but it doesn't seem to do anything - steam just says something like it "cannot complete this operation," which is bullshit because why have an offline mode in the first place?
long weekend and if I have to go three days without Skyrim I am going to be pissed. posting from work now, in case you're wondering.

besides thatlol

Dumb steam question but is there any issues of having your steam account on two computers. Obviously you can't be logged into both. Wife is wanting to try Skyrim once she starts to get bored with SW:ToR but fuck buying the game a second time. Would rather just install steam on her computer, log in, download game, and let her play.
It'll ask for a confirmation key, which comes from an email that steam will send to you stating that your account is being accessed from another PC and if it's you click here for your code. Enter that and you're good to go.
P.S. Share your steamapps folder and your wife can download skyrim from there.
This game is freezing more and more the more I play it... mostly during loading screens, but I just had it freeze on me at a very lame spot.
I was walking along when I got attacked by an Ancient Dragon. I was fighting it, but it wouldnt stand still for very long. Then all of a sudden another dragon came swooping in and then it became a dragon vs dragon fight. Breath attacks going everywhere and both dragons made a hell of a lot of enemies.
but then of course it froze.
also it could be my imagination, but the loading times seem to be increasing exponentially as well.
edit; reloaded and got two dragons again, but sadly it was only a blood dragon and a frost dragon and it was a very easy, lame fight :/
at least the fight with all the angry forsworn was more entertaining.
Loading screens are probably my biggest complaint about the game. I know it's a massive game. But my God when you're loading screen is 30 - 45 seconds long every time you fast travel I feel like I'm playing Mafia on PS2 all over again.
My loading screens are always fast, same with my fast travel. Sometimes I'm not even able to read the tip.
@Souj, PC or console and RAM count if PC? Load times increase exponentially whenever you run out of RAM and the game has to start reading and writing from the hard drive more often.
I really love storm call, but i wish it wouldn't kill my bitch ass companion. It also sucks that it probably doesn't work indoors.
It doesn't, first time I used it was in a cave, did nothing, put my Shout on the long ass cooldown.
Anyone play with any Faction altering mods by chance. Finished the main story finally after doing a shitton of other things in the game, like the Blades hideout but was hoping it'd be bigger to store more people. Also if I kill one of the followers I recruited there, does that allow me to then recruit someone else? Didn't realize the absolute maximum was 3(assumed I would be able to recruit more after some dragon hunts), 1 of the followers I'd rather not have there.
turns out my internet is working. yay! just about to finish cleaning up Goldenglow estates... kinda funny though, it's been more like the Dark Brotherhood than the Thieves Guild for me.Spoiler: show
So outside of Riften when I was just gettin there for the first time, this dude runs up to me, shoves a Dwarven armor set at me and says to hold onto it, and he'll meet me later. I haven't seen him since, in a long ass time. Wtf is goin on with this guy? I'm sick of carrying around the armor piece but I wanna know what the story is.
Just kill him, saves ya a couple of minutes
