dawnbreaker was one of my fav weapons of the game
How can I best power-level alchemy? It goes so effing slow compared to smithing and enchanting.
Honestly, if you have the money, travel from town to town and clean out alchemy stocks. Craft as you go, sell potions back to the vendors you cleared ingredients from, then repeat. Make damned sure you have Mage stone bonus. You COULD do this with a rested bonus, but you'd have hundreds of potions on your hands with no sane way to clear them out. I think it's more worthwhile to get money back from selling potions as you go, means you need less capital going in.
Wheat + Giant's Toe works pretty well too.
giant's toe + wheat is ok, but giant's toe + hanging moss + bear claw is better. however, hanging moss is rare and bear claws aren't sold in shops.
luna moth wing + vampire dust is also nice
really, a lot of different combinations work. the only real rule is that cost = experience. the more it costs, the more you level.
also, get the thief stone boost and make sure you're well rested before you go.
also also, having done the thieves guild mini-quests so you have a bunch of fences with 4k gold helps A LOT.
The only npc that bothers me in whiterun is OLFRID, PATRON OF THE GREAT CLAN BATTLE BORN, A NAME IM SURE YOU KNOW WELL.
I want to kill my companions when they keep telling me "You shouldn't be here"
I know I shouldn't be there just like I know I shouldn't have killed all those people outside and the people that were inside of the place I broke into and I shouldn't be stealing all the stuff inside either. I didn't see you complaining when I was literally stealing the shirts and pants off of all the women in town and killing the fucking king, but no, you draw the line at breaking into a docked ship full of sleazy mercenaries.
Urgh, I meant Thief stone, yes. Alchemy being stealth is still so weird. I guess I could think about it being the "poison" skill... if I cared about poison. Finite, weight-based damage source? No thanks, shock/fire legendary daedric bow/greatsword. I'm good.
Also, it hasn't been mentioned in a while: beheading is almost always hilarious.
Hanging moss is not really rare, I have tons of it. Go to swampy or rocky areas and LOOK DOWN.Spoiler: show
Luna moth wing + charus eggs are the easiest fucking way to level alchemy. Go to the lighthouse for Charus eggs and then just go run around at night for the luna moths. They are everywhere.
You know, you should join the mages college at winterhold, if you have the aptitude.

Anyone know if there's a cap to Health Regen and Stamina Regen?
There is no cap.
Finally got a new PC so getting started on this. Damn this game looks beautiful at high settings. I assume since its an open world game there probably aren't that many missables but is there anything I should keep an eye out for at the start of the game?
