I do think it's kind of lame how damage reduction caps out at around 600 defense. What are the enchants that you guys have on armor? I'm thinking about just hitting my armor with elemental damage reduction since I still have problems with mages chain nuking me to death while taking steps backward just out of range of my sword. -.-;
I'm currently using Otar along with Daedric Armor / GS. Trying to grind out my Heavy Armor skill because apparantly Otar is classified as a Daedric Helm when it comes to Matched Set.
Leveling with two-handed has been so painful because of that.. Every single time, enemies just take a few steps back and I miss them. Eight more levels and I'll never use a two-handed weapon again >.>;
Btw, since the new patch went out today, anyone on PS3 able to comment whether it fixed the lag issues? Would love if that was finally fixed..
I loved using a greatsword. I really found it to be worthwhile, if only for those lovely beheadings. If I do two-handed again, I think I'll try adding block. Shields are bullshit, in my limited experience. Maybe when you get the skill really high it's good (I honestly really want the knock-people-down-while-blocking perk), but at 30-something block it's fucking worthless in practice and it makes armor levels go soooo slooooowww.
So my friend just told me a little tip for those puzzle doors in Skyrim that makes me feel a little silly since I always brute-force the doors...The ring patterns to the doors are located on the bottom of their respective claws if you examine them in the menu. >.>d
Haha I think I would've rage quit the game had I tried to force those doors with guesses.
Lol, yeah, having to try every combination would have made me smash my face into my TV. Also, leveling block was me finding a Frost Troll and letting it hit me for a while.. Was boring as fuck, but I was able to do some work while playing, so wasn't the worst thing ever.. Still required some attention as I'd occasionally had to cure myself..
yeah. That's how I'm going to do it.
They're only 3x3 locks, takes no more than like 2 minutes to crack, even with how slow they turn.
That dragon claw shit stumped me more than it should have..
The very 1st quest with the golden claw, I got to the door and didn't know how I was supposed to know how to unlock it, so I guessed and I got it right on the very 1st try. (I was going under the theory that I needed to go from the smallest animal to the biggest). Second time I had a dragon claw door, I tried it a few times and got it all wrong so I decided to look it up online and that's how I found out the claw told you...
You know the Golden Claw quest, the paper that drops from the thief kinda tells you to look at the claw for the answer... >.>
But that would mean having to read stuff. D:
Still very early in the game. Trying to make a rogue kinda character with some magic. Is there any benefit to using daggers over 1 handed swords? So far every sword I run into seems to be better than the dagger.
The biggest problem with daggers, later on, is that they don't get One-handed Damage bonuses. If you focus on sneak attacks, that really won't matter, but if not, use a sword/axe/mace (use a sword).
I thought the shop owner who had the claw stolen said something to you like "the answer will be in the palm of your hand" so that's what clued me in to look at the actual item in my inventory. If it wasn't him, maybe it was a bandit in the cave i overheard saying that at the entrance while sneaking around.You know the Golden Claw quest, the paper that drops from the thief kinda tells you to look at the claw for the answer... >.>
