Maybe when the creation kit comes out! A base nightingale set, shrouded, thalmor robes, jagged crown, a few other things like that, should all be pretty standard.

there was that blacksmithing addon that allowed you to legendary those armor sets if I recall.

When you first gain entry to the brotherhood sanctuary you can pick up a set of armor from chests and a bookshelf. At the end of that questline you can get another set of shrouded gear, you can even find the mage's version, and a shrouded turban. I play on PS3 so it's all I had ;(

Just an FYI, but the 295.51 beta nVidia drivers do not seem to be very compatible with Skyrim. I encountered Steam errors preventing the program from launching and just a black screen the one time I was able to get it to launch.

If anyone else has experimented with them and had success, post it up. Would be interested to see if they have any real benefits over the 290.53 drivers.

Leveling Block and Heavy Armor on the Frost Trolls in Labrythian. Went from block 33-76 so far without too much trouble. I just have some blocking damage reduction on top of Legendary Daedric Armor. Elvaan Shield of Eminent Blocking(30%), Necklace of Stendarr(10%), and Shield Wall 2/5 (25%)

Oh. Also it's good to bring to Wooden Mask along with you so you can duck into the Sanctuary when you're getting a bit overwhelmed.

I love Skyrim but the "take all" option for chests is seriously making me rage. The number of times i've had to re-sort my shit out after hitting X by mistake...

My favorite part is that the "take all" key/button when you're removing items is the same as "put in" key/button when you're putting things in. That is the FUCKING BEST IDEA. I love having to put 14000 pounds of stuff into my main storage chest every 5th time I switch between in/out.

Finally had the time to get the game, now lets see if I have the time to play it. Alright...made one save to fuck around with(ie. coc qasmoke) and going to make another to play seriously.

Creation Kit AND bonus HD texture pack from Bethesda out today. Apparently HD textures are added as BSA files so they can be enabled or disabled as you wish. DL'ing now, might post some screenshots later.

Surprise was hi-res texture pack. 3.1GB. Found under Skyrim DLC on steam for free.

Requirements for HD pack:

Recommended:

Processor: Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU
Memory: 4GB System RAM
Video Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible NVIDIA or AMD ATI video card with 1GB of RAM (Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 or higher; ATI Radeon 4890 or higher)

And if you can't get the DL to start just change region settings to a different server and DL it from there. changed mine to Charlotte and got mine to start.

So after the texture updates I must say that the difference is small, but noticable. Environmental textures, like rocks, grass, and wood have been improved. I don't believe that armour or clothing textures have been changed, though I do have some mods that add higher-res textures to clothing so it's hard to say. The nice thing is that the textures are consistent with the existing style (no surprise there), unlike many fan texture packs which can be very jarring and outside the 'style' of vanilla Skyrim.

On my system (i5-2500K, 1GB 560Ti, 8 GB RAM) I did not notice any performance hit. Worth the download, but don't expect something like the 2K texture pack.

So far, creating items is really easy, especially with the tutorials at creationkit.com. Made a copy of the Jagged Crown, called it a dragon crown, made a recipe for it (heavy dragon helm + bones) and a temper recipe. Guess I should see if it works

I don't know if this means anything but after downloading the high res pack off steam it now detects my card as a geforce 8800 and I cant change it (have 5870). Does that even matter? Kinda a dumb question but yeah.

Sounds strange, but probably shouldn't matter. BTW, if you're using the beta 290.36 or higher nVidia drivers, I would recommend using nVidia's tweak guide for AA/AF/SSAO over using the built-in AA/AF in Skyrim: http://www.geforce.com/Optimize/Guid...ok-even-better

nVidia Inspector is a great tool and allows for more detailed configuration of settings on an application-by-application basis. If you do force AA/AF/SSAO settings with nVidia Inspector, make sure to turn off AA/AF/FXAA in the Skyrim video settings dialogue box. You should see a bump in FPS and visual quality for the same settings.
