Good to hear. I've had an on again off again gameplay of skyrim going for a while. I have so much left to do. I intentionally stopped when Dawnguard came out for xbox so I could incorporate the vampire stuff into my normal game too. Will be funn!

Reached hour 205 last night on PS3 version. Still wish I had a PC capable of running the game back when it came out. My girlfriend recently got a monster of a PC I might purchase Skyrim for and make a new character on. Might even just transfer my PS3 save file, I heard you can do that now by some means, correct?
Got every major storyline done except haven't started Companions because my character isn't really the gallant knight type, and I'm nearly done with the main storyline. I really wish Dawnguard would release for PS3 already.. dying to get into that. Then again if I just transfer my save file I could play it whenever. Meh.
Gallant knight! Hahahaha! Yeah, don't worry about that.
Man, took me forever last night to find an item with Waterbreathing on it. Was running a route of Fast Travel Cradlecrush Rock, Fast Travel Shrine of Mehrune Dagon, reload to before the first fast travel for about a hour before I got a Glass Helmet of Waterbreathing to pop up.
Trying to pick out my armor enchants now but the ones available on some pieces are really lame. Thinking about just keeping Ebony Mail since the body enchants are not that great. I could probably make a really decent defense set but I want to put Fortify Two-Handed on all pieces I can. Would it be better to go resist magic or elemental for the remaining effects?
Falmer Helm
Otar
Ebony Mail
Daedric everything else
Wish I played it on PC instead of xbox.
I just get myself 1 ring with magic resistance & ice resistance(or fire or thunder) and a neck piece to match with all possible enchant bonuses and skill points. pop them on when i fight dragons and casters. can play on highest difficulty that way. kinda easy. I think the pc version has mods to make it more difficult tho. /sigh
If you need waterbreathing, one of the Dragon Priest masks has an able to breathe underwater enhancement. I believe its Volsung, the red one. As for enhancements, you'll definitely want to make sure you can dual enchant everything, that perk if phenomenal. For my 2-hander set I ended up with Fortify Two Handed on gloves and boots, fortify (Light for me, Heavy for you) Armor on hands and extra stamina on boots. Stamina looked like the only other good enchantment for my play style for boots.
Body armor I did Fortify light (heavy) again, and then Health regen. I've been using the dragon priest masks just out of coolness factor, unfortunately there aren't any decent ones for light armor users wielding two handers. Morokei works well for offhanding spells, which is what I typically do. Two handed was more of a for-fun thing for me.
I thought about doing some resist elemental and magic. Apparently resist magic altogether is the best option because it covers all three elements and dragon breath, so you don't have to pick and choose. Honestly that's probably a better idea than outright defense, magic still damages me pretty badly lol.
Keep in mind that, with all armor on, damage reduction caps at an armor rating of 567 -- if there's something else you can add, do that. You can pretty easily deck out armor in bonuses to your primary combat tree and enough reduced casting costs to make one, if not two, schools of magic free. You should have enough extra spaces for carry weight and waterbreathing on top of that, if you feel the urge.
(i knew the name had been tossed around already)

sims for skyrim weeeeeeee
For $5 I'd totally buy that. I hope I can make my child a vampire.
I think I'm going to pass on that one...
It's my one shot at a family that fully embraces me playing Skyrim for hours on end!
Anyone have any experience using a controller for the PC version? It has a 360 controller option in the menu, but I have a controller hooked up and it won't recognize it at all. Nothing I've googled has been any help either. ><
Did you download the driver from Microsoft's website?
Edit: oh nvm, it's not a 360 controller?
Nah, just a universal PC. The skyrim menu option says "360 controller" but I just assumed that any PC controller would work, or at least could use the motioninjoy to make it a 360 controller, but motioninjoy won't even recognize that there's a controller hooked up.
You want x360ce.exe. I'm using a Logitech PS2 controller and it wouldn't work at all until I used that.
Also look into some keymapping mods that let you do fun stuff like hold LT+Dpad to expand favorites to 8 hotkeys instead of the default 2. I really enjoy playing with a controller now and it's far more comfortable than keyboard/mouse.
I tried x360ce also, but it appears that each new update breaks it and it wouldn't work for me. I just went and bought a 360 controller. 35 bucks for no headaches is fine with me. Thanks for the heads up about the mods for different key bindings. Much nicer now that I can sit back in my recliner and play on my big TV.![]()
http://www.destructoid.com/skyrim-s-...3-234098.phtmlSkyrim's Dawnguard DLC may never come to PS3
Bethesda has confessed that, due to an unnamed development problem, PS3 users may never get access to Skyrim's Dawnguard DLC, missing out on the extra content altogether.
"Skyrim is a massive and dynamic game that requires a lot of resources, and things get much more complex when you're talking about sizable content like Dawnguard," wrote the studio. "We have tried a number of things, but none of them solve the issue enough to make Dawnguard good for everyone.
"The PS3 is a powerful system, and we're working hard to deliver the content you guys want. Dawnguard is obviously not the only DLC we’ve been working on either, so the issues of adding content get even more complicated. This is not a problem we’re positive we can solve, but we are working together with Sony to try to bring you this content."
I love Bethesda a lot, but if you really can't develop games properly for a system, don't release them on the system. Whether it's the fault of Bethesda or the way the PS3 works, it's clear by now that the studio's games are woefully inferior on that particular platform, and knowingly selling a poor product is worse than not selling it at all.
