Well, they gave the game a lot more than the average developer does these days. Most importantly, embracing the modding community.

kind of a shame that we only got two official DLC packs for it tbh. expected them to put out at least a couple more
Didn't Oblivion only have 2 official DLC packs though? Knights of the Nine and the one in Sheogorath(sp?)
Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine were expansions/DLC of the time. I think people expected a little more with Skyrim from Bethesda themselves. It's a shame cuz it almost seems to have ended abruptly but it was good while it lasted and is a solid game in itself. It watered down some of the systems of TES series to make it accessible but it felt right for the game. Oh well, I'll have to check out the mod community on steam now to see what else is good. Admittedly I've never looked at it but I've known it was there for a long time.
There's some really good, in depth mod "expansions" out there. Steam isn't the way to go though. The communities that have been linked in this thread are where it's at. Most of them don't use steam because of the file size restrictions.
Legendary Edition coming soon
Spoiler: show
Expected more out of Skyrim, mostly due to how they've handled the Fallout games and since Todd Howard played up how they were going to focus so much on DLC post-launch. Was hoping at least for something like Shivering Isles; Dragonborn almost got there but not quite.
Of this I am aware, however official DLC is still nice (when it drops in price, anyway). The only unofficial "DLC" that I can think of off the top of my head that really matches official ones is Wyrmstooth; great voice acting, long storyline, and new places to go/items to get. Think there was another one too but I don't remember what it was.
Honestly I can't complain about only 2 DLC's for Skyrim. I've still pumped more hours than I care to admit into the game.
Need to remember to pick up the DLCs when they go on sale on steam next time. Been kind of wanting to mess around in game with the house building one.
You are complaining about 2 DLC as if they were each short. Dragonborn is huge and probably has more content than all of Fallout 3's 5 DLCs combined.
I thought there was rumor of a Hammerfell DLC. I'm sorry to see that's not the case.
I'm honestly anticipating at least one more DLC to come out soon. If they didn't have anything else in the pipeline they would have made this announcement closer to Dragonborne coming out, I feel. I suppose we'll see, though.
Is there a way to map the mouse camera controls to keyboard? I can't figure it out if so.
http://www.vg247.com/2014/01/09/skyr...hesda-website/The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, according to Bethesda’s own website.
The Bethesda website in question shows Skyrim listed for PS4 and Xbox One in addition to current platforms PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
It could just be an error, or a tech update may have gone live ahead of official reveal, so this may vanish post-publication. Either way, OnlySP has a screenshot for prosperity.
Adding fuel to the speculative fire, Bethesda has reportedly sent out emails teasing something exciting to be announced on January 14; several different sites have posted screenshots of the message.
We will of course shoot an email off to Bethesda about this, but expect to be politely and kindly fobbed off.
We know at least some of the core Bethesda development team has moved on to a hush-hush new project, but if that title were in the conception and prototyping stage its possible the rest of the studio could be working on a port instead of sitting idle – or Bethesda may have outsourced the port.

Meh. Maybe if it meant we were getting another DLC pack or two, but that's 99.9999% unlikely.
They announced it on there twitter fed shortly after it became known so yay another rereleased game for next gen![]()
date looks like dec 1st to me >.>
font makes me think Fallout more than Elder Scrolls though, maybe it's not teasing Skyrim, especially if they confirmed it on twitter already?
