font makes me think Fallout more than Elder Scrolls though, maybe it's not teasing Skyrim, especially if they confirmed it on twitter already?
Fallout is 2016, I have a friend that works at Bethesda. They basically are going through re-skinning the game with new tech and adding new mechanics. It was just presented to the entire company at their end of the year staff meeting. The whole Boston thing from the fake teaser website was spot on though. Couldn't get more out of him than that
So I had a go on ESO last weekend, and it made me want to play Skyrim.
As far as I understand, the vanilla version is horrible, and certain mods increase the enjoyment ten-fold. I tried using google but there is just so many mods it's extremely overwhelming for a total noob like myself, my question to you guys is which mods would you say are essential to make the experience as enjoyable as possible? Thanks!
I like alternate start (So you dont have to start in the wagon) and use Race Menu or ECE for character creation along with skin/body mods that are all personal preference.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s engine is being used by a team of modders to faithfully re-create third game Bethesda’s series Morrowind. It’s a lofty goal, but a new trailer shows that it’s looking rather lovely indeed.
The clip – dubbed ‘Remnants’ -comes from YouTuber SquallyDaBeanz, and gives a glimpse of some remastered Daedric Ruins.
Skywind really is looking lovely. We’ve also got a developer diary with commentary for you to check out along with a trailer for the northern Ashlands.
You’ll find everything you need to know about Skywind over at the official page.
You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?
Wow, all righty so a new DLC-sized player mod just came out that is supposed to have 30 hours of content. It's even bigger than the impressive Faalskar mod and it's based in the Summerset Isles to the south west of Cyrodil. Haven't tried it yet but damn this looks like a great excuse to fire Skyrim back up. There's completely new environments, mobs, and cultures. The file is 1.6GB and the Nexus page also offers a [okay so the BG anti-piracy blocker doesn't allow me to use the word for the technology that lets you download big files peer to peer really fast, but it's not piracy and it gives you that option] file to download it all. Looks sexy.
Summerset Isle, a Skyrim expansion mod of DLC proportion, continues the story of the Arch-Mage of Winterhold when they are summoned to the land of the Altmer. Mystery and Heroic Fantasy with quest openness to explore, make choices, and mistakes. Your actions will have consequences. In time, learning what went wrong, and those whose lives you have touched or tainted along the way.
Oh wow that looks amazing. I just started playing again, so I'm definitely going to have to check that one out for sure. My only worry with things of this size, especially ones that are so new, is that they're bound to be filled with bugs and other things which means lots of updates. Updates mean potential compatibility issues with mods, and that just means all my shit breaks and I need to start a new game.
Looks pretty damn impressive, best part is if they want to get into the industry they can slap that in their portfolio & resume and it would likely get some attention very fast.
I stopped playing Skyrim around the time I maxed smithing and had all dragon armor. Without spoiling, is there new/better armor with these types of user added DLC and what not?
So I'm getting back into Skyrim and one thing I noticed right off rip is a npc will start talking over themselves (as in, the next sentence will start before the previous sentence is finished). Anyone ran into this and/or is there a way to fix this?
It's not a problem I've ever encountered or even heard of. Assuming you're not running any mods that would affect it, I'd recommend going into steam and checking to make sure everything is up to date and working right. Properties > local files > verify integrity of game cache.
No fix. Reinstalled the game and all mods and it still happens. So annoying as it makes it very annoying to play.
Check your audio frequency (it's weird but...there's some skyrim issues related to it.) Apparently, some crashing is caused by being on the wrong frequency and some audio glitches is caused by the same reason but changing can cause said crashing. So if you want to try it, play around with your audio frequency so it's set to 41,000-44,000. If that doesn't fix it, it may just be the game running "faster" than it shows it is. My issue was audio frequency.
