I wonder how long will it take for the game to get to the <30e range? Wasted 25e this week to stupid shit, so now I'm gonna wait patiently -_-
Gotta wait for Steam discounts I guess

Treasure hunter was definitely one of the reasons I wanted to go lockpicking. I tried archery when Oblivion came out and it was pretty damn underwhelming. I know they put out mods later on that fixed those problems but I never got around to playing with them. Really hoping Skyrim makes it worth while. Otherwise I may just go daggers and slit everyone's throats.
It's a shame I work tomorrow though. I'm going to be so tempted to fire this bitch up when midnight rolls around tonight...
Skyrim can be installed already if you are in Australia or use a VPN, can also be decrypted with phoenix, just waiting for crack to play it!
Still debating if I want to get this for my laptop or PS3. I have an alienware m14x but also have a 55' nice set wifey let me nab during our engagement. I've heard the argument that getting the p.c. version will allow me to use mods later on, but I never really used any mods on Oblivion. Opinions?
Hook up the laptop to the TV?
Crack is out, playing it on pc atm.
I am playing on normal settings, havent checked how to up graphics on skyrimprefs.ini yet, this is on character creation.

For people wanting to change to veryhigh settings. (thats skyrimprefs.ini, change resolution to yours and change bFull Screen=1 to full screen mode if you want).
Nothing seems to change no matter what I do to skyrimprefs.ini
Are you changing the one in my documents/my games/skyrim?
Mods will let you fix or alter anything in the game, and they are fairly simple to install, there's no software wizardry involved. So if you find something ingame that you hate, like the leveling system in Oblivion, you can always find a mod that rebalances the game. If you wanted to say make the game harder or more realistic, then you can always grab a mod that will do that for you.
The only benefit the PS3 version offers is the couch + 55' TV and perhaps lagless gameplay. If you want to play Skyrim on 15' laptop and enjoy the mods that come with it go for it.
Personally I picked up the PS3 version because my laptop exceeds the minimum requirements by a very small margin, and I don't want the game to chug or look like shit while i'm playing it. I'll eventually pick it up for PC once I get a laptop/rig that will run it better.
Edit: The review embargo was lifted this morning, and so far i've read Joystiq's review. I hope that day one patch irons out all the bugs in the 360 review code. He specifically mentions a few weird bugs, but I bet it was just because it was review code.
