Yeah, it seemed like they nipped and tucked away at some of the game assets to make it fit onto the DVD.

For me, on a decently fast HDD, loading screens after the initial one feel like they are about 15-20s long. They are definitely noticeable, I'm sure I'd get annoyed if I was to go through houses in a town, but as of now I can tolerate it.

Review scores are kind of bullshit anyway. Most of the decent reviews (like gametrailers' ) go something along the lines of "good environments, bad animation, exploring is fun, combat system is still bad, sidequests are fun, UI is great, as per bethesda tradition there's still a bunch of bugs in the game; overall has its fair share of flaws but is a good game". Then they turn around and give it an almost perfect score.

Best thing to do these days is just read/watch the review and ignore the (apparently arbitrary) numbers.

Thing I love about modding is that all the bad points can be fixed lol. Little sad about the animation (as that's usually the only thing that doesn't get fixed well in mods), but I can live with it.

You can't judge by screenshots, gotta see it in motion in ultra, and compare to low to see a big difference.

I'm enjoying it so far. Pretty much all been said. My only complaint is that it is SO QUIET. I have to crank my sound on all aspects to the max to even hear, and then when a fight erupts grunts and clangs are blaring. Maybe its just my headphones.
