Not sure if it works, but I found this:

I was playing Skyrim last night and i found a glitch that can help you level up at the beginning of the game. When the beginning scene is finished you'll follow and Imperial to a small fort where you can continue to follow the Imperial or a Stormcloak (you can follow either for this to work). Whom ever you chose to follow will give you a small tutorial of the game as you escape the turmoil created in the beginning scene. As you go through the tutorial you will come to an under ground cave where you'll be taught how to perform sneak attacks. At this point you'll be asked to either sneak attack a bear or sneak past it. Instead of doing either of these you can enter sneak mode and go behind which ever NPC is giving you the tutorial and attack him over and over again with no consequence since he will not retaliate or die. You can use this to level up your one-handed, sneak, two-handed, and destruction skills. I'ts better to get them into a corner because when you hit him he will be pushed forward. This is very useful if your willing to put the time into it, I used this to only level up my sneak to 100 and ended up leaving the cave around lvl.18.

Roommate got a legit Steam version, it's been crashing every 20~ minutes and eventually corrupted all of his saves. Pretty disappointing, but expected considering Bethesda's track record. Anyone else experiencing this, any known fixes yet?

So, i saved up 1000 gold to buy a god damned horse. i'm on my way to talk to gray beards and a whole tower full of assholes start attacking me, i hope off the mount and they ignore me and go right for the horse. eventually i kill everyone but in the middle of all that my horse seems to have just fuckin disappeared. no body like he died, just fuckin poof, gone.

Anyone know what the 'Forge Numbers' books are located in lots of merchants homes? Clicking them does nothing but does increase your bounty and get people upset if they see you touching it.

Currently very over encumbered so I'm going to go find the Thieves guild and start fencing shit.

I have yet to spend a single perk point...can't decide what to spend them on.

So I'm at the point where I travel to the throat of the world but it seems I've encountered a crypt or something right near it, am I going the wrong way and if so where the hell do I go?

I was trying unarmed on master difficulty, and it's pretty unforgiving (well, being poisoned is, anyways). I don't really see what increasing the difficulty does aside from making monsters tanky as hell, as well as making them do absurds amount of damage. I haven't noticed any AI, skill gain, or quality/quantity of loot differences.

As far as I know, all the difficulty slider has ever changed is amount of damage you take and amount of damage you do (in Oblivion, hardest difficulty you did 1/6 damage, and enemies did 6x damage, afaik)

yeah i had an awkward moment with horse too. dismounted, then all of a suddle mid-dismount i started flying with the horse. like "got hit by a train" type flying & eventually me and my trusty steed died when we hit the ground, was lols.

I have Found literally 3 vampires in the game and 2 of Them were from the dark brother hood quest, is there anywhere i Can find a whole bunch of them?

thers a dungeon full of them. if i recall its somewhere near the southwest part of the map. theres a master vampire in there too and a dragon word wall behind him

edit: east of rorikstead and south of that mountain right there

What are the advantages of getting the pirated version of this game? I was just gonna wait til price drops a bit. I got my hardcover guide and I have been just educating myself about it since I've never played any of the previous Elder Scrolls.

I pirate literally every game that comes out almost in the past 2 years and I would say, buy this game. It's one of the few worth the price tag.


Also I got my first dragon stone, what do I do with it to make my shout activate?

Keep doing the main quest and you'll fight the dragon that activates it. You go to the castle / town a bit north and speak to the Jarl and it will lead you to it shortly from there.

Anychance you Can give some more directions, having a tough time finding one with vampires in.

so i've killed 7 dragons (5 dragons 2 main quest named dragons) got the full ice dragon breath (its bitchin) but i'm a vampire.....and it sucks balls can't remove the curse

is weapon delay between similar weapons influenced by weight? eg will a 1 handed sword swing faster than a 1 handed axe that is 5 pounds heavier?

On the pilgrim's path. at the statue where i'm supposed to "Offer what she desires most but reject the material. For her greatest want is that which cannot be seen, felt or carried." I have not picked up anything in this room and I don't know what I'm supposed to offer her.

Sword > axe > mual style is speed weight doesn't seem to have any effect otherwise

There are a set of chains to pull on each side of the statue hidden behind some other wall mounted statues.
