For curing vampirism, at least in Oblivion, you could do it with cure disease before you transformed. After that, it was a quest that cured you, but then you could never become one again. If I remember correctly.

Probably because its buggy as shit, the interface is terrible and the combat sucks. Some people can overlook that for a sandbox, others can't.

What are Forge Number books in nearly every merchants shop?

Where can you get flawless jewels, is there a way to refine regular jewels into flawless or do you have to find them? I got a quest from a fucking beggar and he wants two flawless sapphires...

What is Falmer's Blood Elixi? (description says it heals 1 health point)

Should I finally buy a house in Whiterun or something and dump them all (assuming they won't despawn or something)?

I am pretty sure the Forge-related books are texts that boost your smithing level when read (for the first time).

You can find flawless jewels around. One place I just finished (Avanchnzel) had quite a lot of flawless gems.

Falmer's Blood Elixi sounds like an Alchemy ingredient... or just a crappy potion that someone might want for a quest maybe.

It does this to me to. I fix this by first alt-tabbing onto the game screen twice. The first time the screen will be black. The second time puts me back into the game.

i think its when your sneak skill is high enough you can mess up there taxes or there incomes so they don't know you've stolen from them, buy a house shove all the books in the chest read when your bored (i recommend reading immortal blood really good)

Yeah, I click on the icon in my quick launch bar and then alt-tab to Skyrim and get back in every time.

Am I missing something, I killed a cow just dicking around with the first Shout I got, and I declined to pay the fine or go to jail thinking I could just throw my hands up later and say "ok i'll pay." Well, I can't talk any of them down now and have 15 guards chasing me around everywhere, as a level 4. I thought you could sheath your weapons and it would allow you to talk to the guards, but nothing works, any tips?

Try holding the left trigger (or whatever your left hand is) and pressing A. That's what it was in Oblivion. It's how you yield to a guard.
