If i were to start a mage to try it out what ratio should i go for MP:HP? I am thinking 5:1? Would i even need to bother with stamina?

Probably not much. It does nicely increase your carrying capacity by 5 each time, but seeing as how light armor weighs relatively nothing, you probably won't have as much problems with being slowed down...As for MP:HP, I'd probably do something like 5:2...
Got my character looking pretty good from thieves guild quest line.
Spoiler for huge
Spoiler: show
Its gear from near the very end of the thieves guild, not really associated with the guild at all but you do the quests in the same line.
That does look spiffy, but talk to me when you're sporting Boethiah's Ebony Mail(great for melee -- +sneak, +5 poison/sec for enemies that get close. and it exhumes this tight black smoke when you're nearby enemies)
How far are people on Daedric artifacts?

So I found some random cave (Stony Creek Cave) and after clearing it out, I see a waterfall at the back that looks like an alternate entrance. Managed to buggily jump my way up the wall next to it and it led to another dungeon called Kagrenzel. The first thing I see is a chest with 5 enchanted items in it, lol. Explored that place (and enemy spawns were all buggy, since I guess I entered from the wrong side) and couldn't find any ways to go inside, anyone come across the proper entrance to this place? Bugging me a little, lol. The cave was a good bit southeast of Windhelm.
Edit: Actually, has anyone found any decent world maps that list all the locations of stuff yet? Haven't come across any.
just hit level 12 and I'm currently locked in an hour-long (no, seriously) battle with (spoilers for mage's guild questline, I guess)I probably shouldn't be fighting him yet but he doesn't heal so it's completely possible, just tedious. dodge his lightning bolt, spam attack spells (Impact perk really helps), run away and recharge mp. lather, rinse, repeat. after about twenty minutes he was down to 60% health or so before I had to leave for work... sighSpoiler: show
I also hear Destruction gets less and less useful as time goes on, which I seem to remember being a problem in Oblivion as well. I picked up Conjuration to help out but I might need one more method of attack to round out my character. melee is out with this build, but maybe poisons would work, especially with bows since Archery skill doesn't affect poison damage.
Well if difficulty doesn't affect drop rates fuck Master, I'm dropped back to the middle difficulty. It's been so funny how I fight stuff, I basically play like a Summoner in FFXI. I'd summon the Flame Atronach to fight the mob run away let my magicka regen and then recast, kiting and letting my summon fight for me because my spells did shit for damage.
Is there a prerequisite for buying the house in Solitude? I could use a house with more chests the Whiterun house only has 2 chests and the dude in the castle won't sell me the furnishings anymore (bug?).
What are Daedric artifacts? How do I start to find them, etc? No idea what you're talking about D:
I've been using this: http://skyrimweb.primagamesinapp.com/search/map/2813/
doh, just bought and decked out the house in Markarth, should have waited for solitude.
This is the only map I have been able to find. Its got everything but not user friendly. http://www.realsg.com/2011/11/guide-...tions-map.html
Currently at level 21, I've barely kept to one tree, I have one handed, two handed, Archery and heavy armor all at near equal level, trying to level Destruction and Enchancment. I love Absorb health weapons
I thought you had to pay $14.99 or get the Collector's Edition to use their interactive map? WTF? Hahahaha! I bet people that paid Prima $14.99 are pissed!
(PS... I am pissed)
If my wife hadn't 'surprised' me with the purchase without asking me, I would be more pissed. However, that map is the same map that she bought me... yet I am not logged into shit and using it just fine. One thing though, alignment is off for some (all?) shit. Search Amren for example. He is a Whiterun NPC / Trainer and it shows that he lives NW of Whiterun. So yeah, not so much. He lives IN the city. But the alignment is off so some shit is just NW of where it actually is.
The Oghma's Infinitum... anyone know what that does?
^ Nvm saved before using it.... you get to choose between Might/Stealth/Magic.

Yes during the load help text some times it will say that it slows your movement and drains your stamina.
Did you speak to him while he was outside on the porch area? For some reason if he's outside he won't offer to, he has to be inside. I guess when he's outside is his "me" time.
