After completing it, and 'taking' the Gauldor Amulet, it doesn't show up in my inventory. I fought the three ghosts twice to make sure it wasn't some one-time glitch or something. But both times the amulet doesn't show up. Anyone else have this happen to them to?

So Dawnstar has the biggest Dragon infestation ever. Every single time I go there a dragon appears. Regular Dragons, Blood Dragons and Frost Dragons (a new species I discovered today, they're actually named Frost Dragon and have more spikes on them, and do a shitload of damage with their breath, moreso than Blood Dragons I think). I've killed at last 6 inside the city and their bones are starting to pile up. It's quite comical actually lol.

EDIT: I guess I should have looked at wiki first. THe last time I did the only recorded dragons were regular and Blood though.

Skyrim mentions the emperors were all dragonborn, but this is the first I've heard of that. Especially the part where the Blades were originally dragonslayers... I wonder if it's retcon.

Initial thought of mine was that it makes sense, because they're all supposed to have dragon blood in them, which is what lets them wear the Amulet of Kings. May be a slight ret-con, but it's not a huge long shot

just hit level 12 and I'm currently locked in an hour-long (no, seriously) battle with (spoilers for mage's guild questline, I guess)

Morokei, the dragon priest

I probably shouldn't be fighting him yet but he doesn't heal so it's completely possible, just tedious. dodge his lightning bolt, spam attack spells (Impact perk really helps), run away and recharge mp. lather, rinse, repeat. after about twenty minutes he was down to 60% health or so before I had to leave for work... sigh

I also hear Destruction gets less and less useful as time goes on, which I seem to remember being a problem in Oblivion as well. I picked up Conjuration to help out but I might need one more method of attack to round out my character. melee is out with this build, but maybe poisons would work, especially with bows since Archery skill doesn't affect poison damage.

Once you have impact and sufficient mana regen, there's literally nothing in the game that's an issue, Fire Bolt itself is sufficient in the end, in terms of less usefulness? It didn't feel like the spells scaled well for damage, but I'm also half a destruction level on my mage away from the next -50% MP cost perk so that might be the issue.

God the non-miscellaneous quests are all fucking fantastic. I just did the Forsworn one where I got thrown in jail and had to shiv people. Just fucking awesome.

Ok the Smithing Effect does indeed stack beyond the 100 cap. The option to upgrade was greyed out without the gear on but with a total of 3 equipments with +25% on each one, the Daedric bow's attack (Which was upgraded to Legendary without any Smithing Enchants) went from 81 to 101 Damage.
Wearing only 1 of those Smithing gear only boost it up to 86 and with 2 gears to 96.
Didn't try with 4 gears since I lacked an additional Grand Soul gem at the moment. Guessing 4 gears with the effect is max unless the final Enchanting Perk allows for even more shits and giggles. I'd imagine this will get more ridiculous if boosting enchantment also gives a bigger number than 25%
Anyways feel free to get mathy on how the % stack since I'm too lazy.

EDIT: Nope the last Enchanting Perk doesn't allow you to put 2 of the same effect on the same equipment
EDIT#2: Oh yeah Character was at Lv40 since I believe the attack and armor values changes as you level correct me if I'm wrong. PS. Game is already too easy without all dis D;

Yeah I saw someone with a Glass Bow that had something stupid like 500 attack, you can go full-autism mode and abuse the crap out of alchemy to upgrade items to ridiculous levels.

Use Fire Bolt on the corpses i think it is. the 2nd fire destruction spell you get. For some reason it flings dragon skeletons like a mile away lol. Great way to clean up the city so you can move around again.

So I have the choice to either get Azura's Star, or a Black Star. Which should I pick? I find myself killing humans more, what with bandits and necromancers galor, but I have no idea if that might change.

i took the black star. i think i made the right choice because as far as i can tell, all human souls are grand soul quality which is obviously very worthwhile for enchanting.

Anybody mind sharing some opinions on archer and sorc? Dunno which one I make.. Typically go caster but I also like archer and harder to be a thief / assassin caster than ranger. Opinions would be appreciated. Ty!

I like to start off stealth/archery, then branch out in to magic a little later on. It takes a while to find cool spells and stuff anyway so... later on down the line you can start working on magic when you have some cooler stuff available to you. I haven't actually tried a pure mage in this yet though, but that'll definitely be my second character.
