I like to start off stealth/archery, then branch out in to magic a little later on. It takes a while to find cool spells and stuff anyway so... later on down the line you can start working on magic when you have some cooler stuff available to you. I haven't actually tried a pure mage in this yet though, but that'll definitely be my second character.

pure mage is working out so far for me. there is a lot more mage equipment in this game and it's readily available from the start, though you might have to do some digging around to find good spells. pure Destruction isn't really an option though. it's too tedious and difficult after a couple of levels. Destruction + Conjuration seems to work well.

just beat the College of Winterhold (mage's guild) questline. it felt short but then again I didn't have to play errand boy for all of the local chapters before joining like I did in Oblivion. so now I have a free house with tons of goodies (enchanting altar, alchemy altar, rare ingredient garden, and some other stuff) and some awesome robes. the game actually glitched into giving me two copies of the robes, but I'm not complaining.

the ending of the questline was sort of funny too... first the part in Labyrinthian with

the dragon priest who took damn near an hour and an excess of saving/reloading to take down

and then, back at Winterhold,

Ancano takes three hits from my flame spell and dies.

For the mini misc. quest to find Narfi's sister Reyda, if you answer that she'll be home soon you get some alchemy ingredients and a human heart. If you answer she's dead you get the same ingredients but a daedra heart.
Edit: Oops no that's wrong, just reloaded and retried. Seems like the awards are a few specific but random alchemy ingredients, one is a daedra heart though.

Found a word wall near Fellglow Keep, guarded by a Dragon and a Wraith named Krosis.
The word wall gave me 3 words straight up for an ability to throw my voice, forcing people to investigate. The mask that dropped from Krosis gives 20% improvement to lockpicking, Archery, and Alchemy. I am pleased.

- having the social links on the same height as the home, about, contact links renders the mouse hover of home and about about 40px to the right:



- not entering any ingredient delivers a full debug page. might want to check for empty submits pre-submit.

other than that, nice job your source code is pretty interesting to me as i haven't looked much into python except building a (fail)ffxidatascraper.

Thanks, I think the overall problem is your browser window is just too small? Lots of little design stuff I can fix though like the overlapping of divs you described. You mentioned an interest in the code, it's all open source here:

Updated it a bit, was highly development when I posted first time with debug on, I've switched to gunicorn and turned off the debugging. Also added some verification to the ingredient input field and made it much less strict (', capitalization are option, e.g. giants toe is the same as Giant's Toe)

While enchanting an item (not recharging), what it is the point or effect of using larger soul gems? It doesn't seem to affect the outcome at lower-level enchanting. Does it only come into play when you get a bunch of those perks?

I don't think it matters which is why you recharge with petty soul gems.

just beat the Eye of Magnus quest line but is there a shout in the labyrinthian? couldn't find one but felt weird that it was a dragon priest hideout without a shout around
