Okay I've seemed to have fixed most of the bugs i've run into on my own ( like the perma talking Varkas.... lmao) but I'm still having trouble with one in particular.

I'm a master level conjurer and I've had a "flame thrall" active in my active effects list for quite sometime even though presumably it had died at some point. I tested to make sure, and I can cast 2 flame thralls (perk) into a pack of enemies and have both of them die. When they are both alive I have 3 active flame thrall effects (doesn't make sense) and when they die the single effect remains. Any way I can get rid of it? I only ask because most NPCs get angry when I'm walking past and i'm tired of hearing that flavor text everytime im in town.

In Oblivion it was a staff that let you summon a random Daedra enemy to attack whatever you targetted, guessing it's the same here but it's not my screenshot so I dunno. The guy said that was with a +50% smithing potion but I dunno if that's the highest. Since smithing can go over 100 it might be possible to do the same with alchemy (pretty much limitlessly, since you could make a fortify alchemy potion, then make another better one with your highest skill over and over and over) in which case who knows how high the limit is, lol. Either way it'd be something like:
    Pop a enchantment skill+ potion
Make full smithing+ skill armour set
Wear full armour set + pop smithing skill+ potion
Upgrade all your shit to ridiculous numbers
I think his screenshot is with a full one handed armour set on too which is what is making it so high.

I keep getting this awesome glitch while fighting Fulmers (it only happens with them). Whenever I block with my shield and use that slow down time perk, sometimes it gets stuck in slow time for about 30 seconds (once it happened until I zoned). It's pretty fun grabbing bodies, throwing them in the air, and hitting them as they fall. Also, you can pretty much just massacre the entire cave if it gets stuck like this.

    Also quite fun: Base jumping

How it works is you try to find the highest place to jump and land into water. Solitude is pretty good, but the College of Mages is some next-level shit.

    Maybe High hrothgar next?

    Edit:
Actually, all you stealthy evil types, very good means of escape.

In the late game, you need a magic resist setup against mages, and you can't tank 2 handers for long, but the dps you pump out within 5 feet is ABSURD. There's a dagger in the game that gives +20% chance to crit - combined with a heavy mace or war axe and DW-speed perk, your Left+Right "heavy" attack becomes like:

    http://www.gifsoup.com/webroot/anima...s/244669_o.gif

And you can literally bash-lock weaker mobs. You have to respect big opponents - things like trolls, you can take maybe one or two of those club bashes, tops. Mages can be dangerous to any class. But literally any distraction, any chance to wail on something and it dies.

The trick is to close the distance or stun the opponent - you can get help from shouts here, and I can sneak. Only moderately competent in archery - I use my bow to pull Mammoths from the herd, attract dragons, and distract guards. In a pinch, I have to spam arrows from cover against mages and use Atronachs and familiars for distraction.

My brother made a new character to dick around to see if he wanted to drop $60 on the 360 version. Turns out it overwrote my 30hr+ game save. Fuck everything.

I hate leveling Alchemy so much, easily the worst part of the game for me. Most Recipe only gives you a little bit of EXP while some that give a lot requires items that don't come around often. Someone give me tips

So in order to get massive damage like that do I have to level Alchemy as well as enchanting and smithing?

Anyone know how to get a divorce in skyrim? Well actually, it's not the woman who bothers me, it's just that this guy follows her around too and says irrelevant shit every time you bump into him.

Some of the tedious skills you can get by with training. Up to a certain point - after 50 it's going to cost serious money.

But 3 or 4 combo potions are worth more exp than single stat.

For anyone looking for a bunch of Deadra Hearts in one place, I just finished the Mehrunes Razor quest, which starts in Dawnstar, and ended up with 4 and some nice loot, on top of the razor,

Ur welcome. In an openish area it's a berzerker's best tool, though I find force works better indoors.

How much shit am I missing by refusing to read most books in protest for the lazymode storytelling?
A bit. There are some quests you can find from books, and there are skill books for every skill - they generally have a theme in the story involving the skill they boost.

Luckily all you have to do is open a book to get any skill/activate any quest. If it doesnt happen immediately - close and move on.

Some of the stories are funny.

Not sure if this was mentioned, but I like that Bounty is regional. Slaughtering one town has no bearing on another; even though it's a world, despite the lack of phone or Internet, that knows of some random teacher in an orphanage being murdered.

Do you have Krosis? If so, that''ll help. If not, you can enchant +Alchemy% on four items (maybe more?): head, hands, ring, necklace. Fortify alchemy enchants on four pieces, then go to Acadia (sp?) in Whiterun, the alchemist. Buy up all her ingredients, make potions that solely bring in the most $$. Slow / Invisibility (Chaurus Egg + Vampire Dust, save your Nirnroots) / Lingering Damage / Regen bring in a lot of money.

    I think Garlic + Nordic Barnacle + ...f I'm forgetting...gives you a potion thats Health+Magic Regen, and I make those at near 1k value.

So make the most expensive potions you can, buy up all of Acadia's ingredients, sell her potions, get alchemy skill training from her. 5 per level, I think she stops at 65 or 70.

Is there a reason that every time I happen to read that damn Legend of Red Eagle book it re-flags the quest for me? I found it and went and killed Red Eagle a billion years ago. I found it re-flagged just recently so I followed the markers and found another Red Eagle sword on the Forsworn outside. I brought it inside and swapped it for the one that I put in the pedestal a billion years back... and it flagged completed again. I accidentally read the book and it flagged it a third time.

Also, in the Dwemer Museum, I cracked open the case with the arrows... and it refuses to let me steal that one cool-looking Dwarven Sphere Centurion Arrow. What gives?

Also, lol @ getting like 10 levels in Lockpicking from all the Master/Expert locks throughout the Dwemer Museum. Quick Hands perk means I don't have to be sneaky about it either, heh.

I wonder if you can stack "Fortify One-handed" (or Two-handed) potions...if so, it'd be easy to get a ridiculous DMG reading like that. Otherwise, the way I know you can increase one-handed damage:

    1) Perks: The first perk in the tree has 5 levels, which skyrockets your ability with one-handed weapons.

    2) Weapon improving: Someone mentioned you can go above 100 smithing -- as in, 100 is a soft cap, right? Otherwise, I don't know exactly what that means...I'm at 100 smithing, but if I wear a full set of +smithing gear (ring, necklace, hands, body) AND pop a potion, I can put together some beefy stuff. If you don't care for alchemy (which you really should. it's easy to make big $$), you can buy Blacksmith draughts/elixirs/?? from alchemist shops.

    3) Enchanting: Grab gear that has fortify-one handed. I think only four pieces can have that stat: hands, boots, ring, necklace.

    4) Potions

But think about it...Maxed out 1-handed perk, uber-improved daedric weapon, and +20-40% one-handed damage on each piece. And then pop a potion (right now I'm hitting around 54% bonus). I'm sure you can hit far beyond 481 DMG.

EDIT: to answer your question, you don't NEED alchemy--you can buy blacksmithing potions if you're smithing, and occasionally "one-handed %+" potions show up. The latter is rarer, though. I'd say do alchemy, but don't put the perks in (except for at least 1 perk in the initial skill)

In fact, I think perks into alchemy are a waste, except for the very first perk (+20% potions). I think, with few exceptions, everyone should be doing smithing and enchanting. Smithing 100 is extremely easy to get, as well. Enchanting is a bit harder, but my way around it is enchanting every single weapon (armor doesn't sell as high) I get with common/lesser/petty soul gems, and then selling it. I'm right now 100 smithing/75 enchanting/75 alchemy, with 3 perks into enchanting (just the first perk), 2 perks into alchemy, and dragon armor (heavy armor route) into smithing. I have no regrets whatsoever, and I plan on getting enchanting to 100 asap to get double-enchantments.
