Ok...I'm level 9, poor, and tired of getting my ass kicked.

    Best way to make money?

How do I beef up my gear? Thinking some sort of Destruction (Fire, Left Hand) and One-Hand (Right Hand) combo.

    I'm an elf...I think...probably, I dunno if that makes a difference.

Early game? Just dungeon crawl and pick up armor and sell shit off. Sell off potions you'll never use. Helps when you get a companion to store stuff.

I just cleave them down and go find a new one. No one gets in my way!

But yeah it's really annoying, I also hate when they stand in a doorway and you have to jump around them to get out

There are 24 unusual gems you need in order to sell them all together, I think.

Side question: How the hell do I get rid of this Right Eye of the Falmer? I sold the Left Eye of the Falmer to Delvin in the Thieves Guild, but he doesn't want to buy the other one and it's flagged as a quest item. I'm not exactly hurting for gold but it's kinda annoying just having it sit there.

Well first of all the ruby dragon claw is for a shout. You want that.

Grimsever is for a quest in Riften. I'm guessing the lute has something to do with the bard's college.

Smithing. Make stuff that uses cheap material over and over to level it, like leather bracers. You can upgrade your weapons and armor with enough skill for basically nothing.

Alchemy. You have no money for potions, so start making them yourself. You'll be able to craft potions you don't normally come across, and anything you dont use you can sell. To fund it, go exploring and gather materials - bushes, mushrooms, insects, parts of dead creatures, if you keep an eye out and spam E alot you'll have a steady supply of alchemy materials by just playing the game.

You're going to need way more health than magicka if you plan on actually using that one-handed weapon. At least 3:1 health.

    Quicksave (F5) Alot.

Just as an FYI it takes 562 iron daggers to get to 100 smithing

That works out to something like 5000 gold in Iron ingots, as leather strips are easily sourced more than you can buy Ingots. Way the hell cheaper than training - I use Smithing as my "Get More Perks" tree

Yeah I started a new character out of curiosity and cheated my way to 100 smithing.

You get up to Level 17 from intro -> 100

Happens to me all the time. Quicksave alot when you dungeon crawl, a simple F5 saves you from everything from accidental follower death to Crash to Desktops.

My follower wears an Antler headdress. It looks retarded, it's not even that protecting, but nobody I fight on a regular basis has a Bullwinkle helmet

When you see the moose - don't shoot

Gear your follower in a unique way, and maybe you won't keep chopping them to pieces.

The best part of that quest was flying into the sky twice, the view was amazing.

Has anyone figured out how to do the Boethia quest? She says to lead someone up there, but no one has a chat option for it, and if she means the cultists they just have flavor text.

Also, highly recommend doing any and all non-misc quests in Markarth, that whole town was just awesome. Two Deadric Artifacts, and some amazing Dwemer ruins.

So are these dragon priests part of a quest or can I just go to where they are and fight them. If there is a quest for them I don't want to ruin it by having killed him before.

I think you dont ruin quests by killing the enemies first, game is built around it , as people tried to find how far they could break morrowind I think and the devs put alot of depth

well, ruin it as in not experience the quest to the fullest. basically if quests do exist for them then I will just wait to get the quests to fight them

Loved this quest. Loved the sword, too. I'm really annoyed that I can't seem to upgrade it past Flawless, since there is no Smithing perk for Daedric Artifacts, which essentially makes it crap compared to my regular weapons.

Is there any console command to manually increase the power of a weapon or somesuch? >_> I'd only actually take it to the strength of my current Daedric Sword, it just looks so damn cool. I feel like I'm wasting the badassery by letting it sit on my Weapon Rack.

I got attacked by a dragon while in the sky talking to her and it glitched me so I couldn't get down. I could only run around in the sky.

Ok I'm probably going to pick this up soon, only played some oblivion so if anyone has any tips I'd appreciate it.

Probably looking to go sword and shield, dual wield, or two hand weapon with heavier armor if possible. I don't want to steam-roll like sniping in fallout, and I dont want to make dragons impossible like it looks like mages can do.

I rolled Sword/Shield and Heavy Armor with Archery as a secondary skill. I highly recommend taking up Archery as a melee class, since you're generally fucked as long as Dragons are in the air if all you have are melee weapons, and their AI tends to have them in the air the vast majority of the time until they drop below 50% HP. You can snipe people a la Fallout with a bow, but since Skyrim's humanoid enemies are generally concentrated in dungeons or keeps with more confined areas, it's not as broken (especially for non-stealth characters).

Leveling Smithing is a must for Heavy melees, and it's really fairly painless to do. Enchanting is also really helpful, though I only ended up leveling that later on. Don't forget that you can give your old armor and weapons to your Companion so they'll use it. It's a huge upgrade over their basic shit.

Start the Companions questline in Whiterun if you want a fairly nice weapon early on. The Skyforge Steel line is pretty nifty. This line also offers the opportunity to become a werewolf, which is kinda neat. You lose out on resting bonuses, but it's not like I slept in actual beds much anyways personally. Were form sucks in combat, but it runs fast as hell so it's great for crossing the map, and being a werewolf comes with an innate 100% resistance to all disease.
