does the companions questline give a daedric artifact?
does the companions questline give a daedric artifact?
I love how the feel of this game is both perfectly sublime and brutal. One moment you can be savagely axeing bears in the face or knifing someone for their loot. Then the next moment you can be picking colorful wild flowers and catching butterflies in earnest. (They're for my potions...)
So i'm starting another char cause i just got my Archery to 100 lol ( 100 perk on archery is baller ) Imma be a Heavy Armor Dual destructo mage.... on Master mode. any tips cause this is hard as hell.
anyone with enchanting at 100?
i want to know if you dual enchant an item, whether you need to do both enchantments at the same time, or if you you can add them one at a time.
You have to do them both at the same time. Once you enchant it the first time it wont let you add another.
Exactly what I'm doing. That sword looks SO baller, especially with the light effect...alas, I'm in the same boat that upgrading won't fix it. My guess is that it's considered elvan/glass/or plated, so my upgrading won't get it to legendary. anyone care to confirm, if they did light-armor?
It's sitting on my weapon rack too, in favor of Dragonbane.
It does not.
Why don't you go ninja-mage-without-archery? Light armor + daggers dual wield, magic too? Use whirlwind sprint to close in on mages that might be trouble-some. Play skyrim like you would assassin's creed =P
Also, I take back what I said earlier about "now that the main quest is done, what can compare?" I went back to Blackreach (didn't fully scope it out the first time around), and holy shit...A) this place is SO damn beautiful, and it's such a huge zone, and B) i'm having a blast doing two things I forgot to do earlier.
gah that's gonna be a big pain in the ass for me.
besides the wizard in whiterun, what other npcs commonly sell grand soul gems?
also, anyone know of common monsters that fill grand soul gems?
So should I get this game on PC? I played Oblivion but I don't think I gave it enough of a chance, I disliked it a lot.
Reading and looking at shit about Skyrim, though, is making me very interested in playing. On the fence about it however.
Try general stores (Belethor in Whiterun), they usually have them. Also, if I'm not mistaken, every single magic specialist @ the College of Winterhold is packing soul gems.
also, anyone know of common monsters that fill grand soul gems?
Definitely get the game.
Can someone explain the difference between Ravage Stat and Damage Stat? I'm guessing one is "Drain," but which?
thanks
btw, anyway to rename an item after you've already enchanted it?
I don't know what could quite fill up a grand perhaps a giant? But the Dwarven Centurions can dropped filled Grand soul Gems.
also i have no Shout i legit went from Whiterun -> Winterhold and am knocking out all the college quests before anything yeah that Dragon Priest is gonna be a pain >.>;
Has anyone been able to marry Lydia? I tried using the console commands as well as just letting her sit in my house, and I've had no luckand ya I have the amulet and I've had plenty of other people wanting to get up on my sexy orc.
No, Giants are grand.
Soul Gem Hunting Tips:
My current favourite place is the plains to the west of Whiterun, it's pretty reliable and the monsters arent overly crazy. You're hunting for
Mudcrabs/deer/rabbit/etc - Petty (good value on certain enchantments, potential money maker)
Bear / Sabre cat - Common (good for filling weapons with the gem recharge perk)
Basically pretty much the regular stuff.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Giants - Greater
Mammoths - Grand (Grand gems allow you to enchant at your maximum skill level, makes great stuff)
Things to note:
Giants herd mammoths and use them as a resource, so you'll often see them together. If you don't, odds are the Giant isn't too far away. Sometimes, he's right over that hill, right there, so be alert. If your level is low, the Giants will aggro you. If you're strong, they will remain passive untill you get up in their grill. Mammoths are always passive. Both of these monsters have similar health pools.... and theyre big.
On the plus side, they are very slow, and broadcast their attacks. In the open fields of the plains, you should have no problem kiting.
Careful with the giants. IMO, they are alot more threatening than the wooly mammoths, despite having smaller souls. The giants have a charging power club slam that deals significant damage, even to me with ballin shit and armor buffs. It has also been known to cause a bug that sends the victim several thousand feet into the air. Highly amusing... and yet somehow probable (the giant really puts some leverage into that slam, and it hurts like a mother, so who knows).
Clean out an area to fight in and pull one mob at a time, if possible, with a bow or similar ranged weapon. Unless you are well armed and equipped, and probably 30+, these aren't mobs you can just run in and fight. If you don't like Groundhog Day, be well prepared before every battle.
Also there's some random bandits around the fort, but humanoid souls are black, and can only be kept in specialized soul gems.
I highly suggest doing the Azura's Star quest, and picking the Black Star. Go Snipe a Bandit > Free Grand Soul > Repeat.
Good stuff.
On the note of money making -- if you're sporting an Azura's star, try using 90%+ of your petty/common/lesser to enchant weapons you find (armor doesn't raise much higher in price) and sell it off. That way, you're increasing enchanting (which seems to be a bit of a pain) while you're making money.
Enchant anything and everything you can, with lesser/common/petty and even greater because you'll have a crapton. Save the grand for your own chants.
can you get to the top of the throat of the world?, there seems to be that damage barrier.
ah kk, which are the main quests?, the source of dragons or conquering skyrim?
interesting... I went to buy some new spells and wanted to test them out so I figured I'd smack around some teachers at the College and reload before buying them for real. turns out no one really cared. Faralda got a little pissy but didn't aggro, and some other dude didn't even say a word as I shoved a spike of ice right through him. kept acting like it was all good.
wonder if that's a glitch, if they take longer to get mad at you, or if it has something to do with being the archmage? I've attacked people in Whiterun before and they turned hostile on the very first hit.
