So by leveling pickpocketing and smithing I leveled my character up pretty quickly. I just finished the Golden Claw mission thing, any downsides to having leveled up so early? I'm lvl 25 right now.

I never felt a downside, scaled areas or otherwise. But I was very potion-heavy to tailor to my enemy.

Who is this I want to steal that armor.

That's just straight Daedric Armor, i think. 90 smithing required (daedra heart + ebony ingot + leather strips)

Is smithing still useful if you're making a light armour character?

Also, Shadowmere is a fucking boss. He tanks Dragons and doesn't afraid of anything.

Seriously, does this horse just never die? The only time I've even seen him take damage was when it was player-inflicted and I rode him off a cliff. I have yet to see a monster even dent his life bar. I know he's technically a Companion and thus can't die permanently unless you kill him, but he's basically a supertank for anything you can fight in the overworld. His intro was beyond awesome, too. It makes me wonder if he's even mortal. Is he? Is there some sort of lore behind Shadowmere?

Edit: @Meow, Yes. Pretty much the only thing that doesn't benefit from Smithing is a pure mage using robes and no weapons whatsoever.

picture is the same model as the conjuration dremora lord, and death thrall affects vampires including master vampires, think the one i got might have been abit wonky considering all he wanted to do was cast drain hp, draugr are not thrall'able, which was a disappointment.

That Daedra is Sanquine, its a big quest chain to find him (or like me you just stumble upon him) and he's the Daedra god of mischief I believe.

It's part of the main storyline. Basically a gigantic underground cavern that's really pretty.

I've done that one, and I think no matter what you end up with the mace.

I feel like not many people have done the Bard's College quest, but the reward is... interesting. I feel like the voice actor for that NPC was Mr. Crabs.

The Dark Brotherhood. The one that bubbles up from the evil looking pond thing. He was also a Dark Brotherhood reward in Oblivion, which takes place 200 years prior to Skyrim, so yeah.

I highly recommend it. I'm not sure if it's the same in Skyrim, but in Oblivion Shadowmere was the fastest horse in the game aside from the Unicorn (which was retarded anyways, so essentially Shadowmere was the best practical horse). He's also the only horse I know of that will actually attack your enemies for you rather than run away.

Actually, I was mistaken. It wasn't the Bard's College quest that gave me the weird weapon, it was the random bum guy shouting around town near it.

I am running into so many fucking bugs/glitches that keep me from being able to start, continue, or finish quests. For example, I am holding the flute that the bard had stolen from her and the game still won't give me a dialog option for her.

EDIT: Guys..."Banish" is f'ing ridiculous as a money maker if you enchant it on weapons...Dwarven Dagger jumps from like 200 gold to 1500 on a petty soul gem...

not that anyone needs money, but still.

also does the female version of the dark brotherhood armor you get given have the face cover like astrids armor ? cos the males doesn't
