anyway just as i was complaining about not being able to find the armor skill enchantment, i ended up finding it! but i also found a health regen one at the same time.



suggestions on body piece enchantments? should i go hp/hp regen (+25%)? or hp/armor skill (takes me from 743 to 794)

What should I smith for better level ups or does it not matter? I wanna get the most without using all my Stuff

Iron Daggers (Leather Strip + Iron Ingot) and Leather Bracers (Leather + Leather Strip)

It does not matter. Buy up all the leather strips/leather/iron ingots from the War-Maiden (2 vendors, Avinecci outside and the Warborn guy inside), and spam them, sell it back to them, OR better, take crappy soul gems, and enchant those items to boost your level in enchanting.

It also helps to use a charge-weapon, use soul gems to charge it will boost your enchanting skill a bit.

god damn, it's impossible for me to find a heavy armor skill+ item to disenchant. any suggestions?

maybe just thinking about going hp/stamina on my chestpiece instead of hp/skill. 743 rating seems more than enough at this point.

btw, headpiece enchantments are AWFUL for sword warrior types. there's pretty much nothing that does anything of use for a melee type. probably just gonna stick magicka/magicka regen on it for times i need to use emergency heals.

Keep checking vendors -- I got them fairly early on. Headpiece gets you +Archery, which is pretty awesome for when you're firing your bow. I haven't used Magicka in like 30 levels...

Health regen seemed not that special...I had +80% from ring/necklace because I thought it'd be beefy, maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention, but it wasn't all that special...

I'll take wielding over that.

I thought I read they fixed the selling things one by one. Skillups are now related only to the cost of what you sell, not quantity

Holy fucking jesus, I can not even get close to killing Malyn Varen as a lvl 28 melee, the 3 adds blow me up in literally 3 seconds by spamming fire spells on me. Not even sure what to do at this point because it's annoying me, I can't keep distance because ill be destroyed outright, charging in and attacking just gets me cooked even more. I'm using a 40% resist potion when I charge in and im still destroyed in literally 10 seconds, even chugging potions does nothing to let me kill the caster because each time I go into my menu to use a potion it seems like the caster gets back hp as well.

for an archer/thief, is Wood Elf of the khajiti(sp) better? I know wood elf gets better bow skill, but night vision and stealth is nice since the wood elf special is kinda meh. But then wood elf gets the good resists

I don't put too much stock into racial powers, personally, since they can only be used once a day. I just went with whatever look I wanted for the character, which ended up being Breton.

Also, night vision is pretty weak. I actually felt in it inhibited my vision because of the blurry vignette it creates.

Yeah Night Vision is pretty meh, and lasts 60 seconds. I still don't regret my Kajit Thief/Archer though. I just never use Night Vision.

I havent even found a use for night vision yet. Every place has had plently of light except one in which that was the whole idea.

Yeah i thought the khajit racial would be pretty good, most times i just use it to find my horse after a night time battle and hes run away. it does at help for sure, dont really have the problem mioko has with it, yeah it does blue the edges of the screen slightly when you use it, but that didn't matter to me in the dead of night and my horse has just vanished.

also - did i read something earlier in this thread about a horse as a quest reward for the dark brotherhood quests? do i start those in riften?

also, anyone using the razor1911 version, how the fuck do you take screenshots in game. printscreen doesn't work because its steamworks and uses the steam screenshot function(f11) but obviously since its not running through steam that doesn't work either.

The race you play has a little effect on your charactor. Nords have a 50% frost resist which is nice. The cats have claws which do good h2h dmg, the lizards are disease resistant and can go underwater indefinitly.

You also start with diff skills buffed a little depending on your race.

For the most part the level system ensures that how you play has the most weight on how you turn out though.
