You can hit them with Fire or Frost breath while they're hovering if you don't have enough skill in Archery/Magic and/or a good bow to bring them down normally.

I just shout a few Mark of Deaths (not sure if this stacks or not but whatever) then just Fire Breath and arrow them and they go down fast as hell, but I've pumped most of my perks in to Archery.
i just spam arrows at it until it comes down. not much else to do i think for someone like me who hasn't leveled magic.
when i buy my house will all my companions gather there? gonna be hard to keep track of em all
Is the Dragon armor heavy or light armor? Also does it require ebony ore to make? Making my Daedric set right now, but its a pain to get the ebony I need, since ive mined out all of Gloom and Shore's stone mines of the stuff.
There are Heavy and Light versions. It does not require Ebony, just Dragon Bones, Dragon Scales, and Leather Strips.
Daedric is also better than Dragon armor if you use Heavy armor. It's just harder to get the materials for it.
How do I get the quest so I can buy a house in Riften?
Anyone know the reward for collecting all the stones of barenziah?
Second thoughts, don't tell me what it is. Just tell me if it's -worth- it?
This bothers me because my local friends are afraid of spoilers and keep complaining about this, it does get easier later.
Spoiler: show

Snuffy wants to play?
http://i42.tinypic.com/t5ggo7.jpg
So i haven't had much time to play since I'm working like 70 hours these next couple of weeks. But this is the first game in a long time that i can remember that i have a hard time putting down.
Well worth the money spent.
Not that I'm aware of. I searched high and low but didn't find anything but good company and really badass scenery.
You really really don't need to cap out everything...I already kill Ancient/Blood dragons in like 5 power swings, and my one handed is 3/5 (and 2/3 on crit%) -- and i use a sword which is slightly weaker than mace/axe. I've got 2 perk points that I haven't used yet, with capped enchanting, all i need out of alchemy (2 points on the first perk), treasure hunter, a couple in block/heavy armor, and smithing heavy-armor route to dragon armor. And I've gone a couple into speech to allow me to sell anything to anyone, sneak/archery.
The only thing I can see myself adding to is maybe archery. Otherwise, i don't need a route to make more money because banish-enchanted weapons sell for like 1.3k+...
At this point, i could turn to magic usage (wasted 2 perks into restoration for the 25% Magicka regen, and I don't use magicka at all)
So to be very direct -- you really don't even need 70 perks, not even close to it. Nor do you need to cap out most trees, because a lot of perks aren't super-useful.
I used to use Lingering Damage Health potions and Poison potions and take my shot when the dragon would stop in mid-air. From my experience, most dragons will land once they're about ~50%, or if there are NPCs nearby.
Build up fire resist to 300 and rotate haste and HP+ in. Nuke from a distance.
Question if anyone knows it, does giving your companion better gear/weapons actually make a difference? Also i give my mage good staves and then a crappy 2hander to hold on for vendor, and they always equip the 2hander since it's technically more dmg due to melee >_<
So once again, ridiculous money-making scheme that will improve three stats directly & concurrently:
Smithing
Enchanting
Speech
What you need (in order of importance):
1- The "Banish" enchantment available. Disenchant any item that you find that allows you to "expel Daedra" -- usually called "... of Expelling."
2- 50 Speech skill minimum (see the Maven Blackbriar speech skillup trick if you need to, but playing the game normally should get you there pretty soon) and 3 perks minimum into speech: Haggling, Allure, Merchant (which allows you to sell anything to anyone).
3- A crapton of filled soulgems ranging from petty-common that you can get easily by running around Skyrim and killing anything and everything.
4- The route I do and suggest is Whiterun + Winterhold, so Winterhold access, though any vendors will work with "Merchant" perk.
5- Weapons that you find un-enchanted.
The process is extremely simply: take a weapon, enchant it with "Banish," and sell it to the vendor. But the trick is to buy the vendors useful stock. Only focus on two types of vendors: smithing vendors (three in Whiterun: Adrianne Avenicci and the Warborn guy in the War-maiden shop, and Eorlund Grey-Mane) and magic vendors (every magic specialist in Winterhold).
It also helps to have the Masque of Clavicus Vile and a neckpiece that gives +Price. I'm currently enchanting Iron Daggers at around 1.3k a pop.
Preparation: Grab a crapton of soul gems and go out into the world, hacking and slashing and soul trapping things. Also stockpile all the weapons you get that don't have enchantments.
Step 1: Make Iron Daggers: Leather Strips + Iron Ingot. Buy up all the stock of Iron Ingots/Ore and Leather/Leather Strips you can/need from Whiteruns smiths. Careful, Leather is very weighty once you purchase in bulk.
Step 2: In Winterhold (and any magic shops / sometimes general stores), go to each mage specialist and buy up all their stock of (filled) soul gems. The best time is to go at like 2am when all the mages are sleeping, and they're all in the same room (Hall of Countenance). Just go around and wake each mage up and make them barter.
Step 3: Take those daggers you made to a chanting table (either in Dragonreach in Whiterun, or the Hall of Countenance 2nd level in the College of Winterhold) and spam "Banish" chants on them. You should be getting anywhere from 800 (if you're low level enchanting) to 1400 on a simple Iron Dagger.
Step 4: Slap on your haggling gear (optional), and start selling all your stuff to vendors. They'll run out of money fast, so buy up all the stock of theirs that you might ever use.
Step 5: Rinse & repeat if you ever become poor / until you hit 100 enchanting/smithing. And enjoy that shiny "Double Enchantment" perk.
lol, I just was swimming in a pond, harvesting clams, when I heard a muffled but familiar shriek. popped up and saw a dragon fighting something... and an indignant mudcrab that came out of the sand and went right up to the dragon to fight it.
I'm sure you all figured out already who won. XD
The Mudcrab, obviously!
