They were together during the Age of Apocalypse in the mid 90s. I have the comics stashed away somewhere. It was basically-- there was an alternate universe b/c Professor Xavier was killed. There were multiple storylines, some crazy time-traveling shit; reading the comic books as a kid I thought Rogue and Magneto were married in that series b/c they had a kid. Ultimately they all blew up in the end, and everything went back to normal.

When they first split into Uncanny X-men and X-men, in the first comic I think it was, Blue Team have a melee with Magneto over a long sunk nuclear sub that he had a hand in. He flees toward Asteroid M with some of the Nuclear Missiles and Rogue attempts to stop him, citing their previous relationship together. This happens again in #25 (the one with the Gambit hologram cover) during the last battle with Magneto before Charles takes away his mind.

If I remember right, Rogue was with Magneto after going through the Siege Perilous and they somehow ended up together in the Savage Land. That picture brings back tons of memories.

I should look up online for scans of these comics... I never could get into them because there was so much backstory/sidestory that I missed... Hopefully someone has a timeline for which order you should read them in if starting from scratch... >.>
