At the time Anakin was named, Lucas had yet to shit up the EU w/ the new trilogy so it was meant to honor the light jedi Anakin Skywalker, not Vader. Then Lucas turned Anakin into a fucking sith in all but name so it kind of shits it up. Also, I mean Leia/Han are fucking royalty in the EU so they can name their kids w/e the fuck they want.

None of the EU is really canon though? Back when I read the books (stopped right after the NJO series), Lucas seemed intent on shitting over w/e established EU story he had to, if it meant he could sell a new video game, movie, or toy.

I will say fanwank or not, the NJO books were the best star wars storytelling outside of Timothy Zahn's stuff/OT. Killing off characters left and right, compelling enemy that made people question whether getting rid of the Empire was a good thing etc etc.

Snow has become not too rare in Texas, but since the roads have a thick layer of ice, and we use granite instead of salt to de-ice, this is huge.

Picture in front of my house. Upon moving further out, I almost slipped and ran back to my burrow inside.

Edit: That's not snow on the road, its ice.
