Didn't try Mp but there is quite a few customizations and class builds from "perks" to weapon attachments to pseudo kill streaks I seen going through the menus. Aiming felt decently smooth with little to no lag/stuttering overall. All in all if the game gets a decent mp community backing behind it i can see it being a fun game and worth a buy, but if mp flops it'll end up being one of those games you wish you waited till it dropped a bit before you bought it.

Just unlocked, D2D keys are up already. Downloading now. 10 gigs, so I probably won't be able to play until tomorrow afternoon, lol

    (Watch in HD)

I made this little gameplay clip this morning. It's just basically with starting weapons/perks as I haven't unlocked much yet. Plays very much like a mix of BF2 and CoD on PC, some things are very similar like the spotting system (Press Q, or hold it for radial menu). Haven't played the single player yet but I've heard it is pretty short too, although I bought this solely for the MP. I start using some of the battle points around half way through the video (I didn't know how to at first, lol) but yeah, it's a lot of fun and I'm enjoying it so far. Menu's are good, everything is pretty much adjustable, FOV, kb/mouse binds, graphical options etc. For anyone playing on PC, make sure you're getting like 60 FPS, plays much more smoothly and feels completely different than at 30 FPS to me (recording with FRAPS seems to activiate a 30 FPS limiter in the game). Also this was recorded at 720p for sake of file size and youtube HD.

Visually it's nothing special, probably a little worse than Bad Company 2 on PC. Here's a few screens I took at 1080p with Steam (spoilered for big):

I do have one complaint though, and it's that sniping is very easy. There is very little sway if any on scopes zoomed in, hopefully they can patch this or something, but it's still perfectly playable right now. Also, I have an explanation of how to remove the mouse smoothing in the video description, I found it helped me a bit.

    http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/3...nt_Release.php
Nasdaq traders exchanged 6.9 million shares of THQ stock -- more than four times the daily average -- in a day that saw the stock's price drop nearly 26 percent to $4.40 per share, though a small portion of that decrease has been reversed in after hour trading as of this writing.

The volatility follows a 7 percent rise on Monday to a close a $5.94 per share, a trend that seems to have been stopped by a several lukewarm reviews for alternate history first-person shooter Homefront, which hits stores today.

The game currently has an average score of 72 on popular review aggregator MetaCritic. All the reviews below this average were posted online today, while the eight highest reviews for the title -- all of which earned the game an adjusted score of 85 or higher -- were posted in the four days prior to release.

Earlier this month, THQ revealed Homefront was the most pre-ordered title in the company's history, attracting over 200,000 early purchasers.

But sales for some other THQ releases have not been as strong recently. An analyst note from Wedbush Morgan's Michael Pachter shows the company's Wii-based uDraw tablet, which was a major hit over the holidays, sold just 26,000 units in February, according to NPD. In addition, colorful platformer De Blob 2 sold "well below" an expected 75,000 units for the month, Pachter said.

Today's drop puts THQ stock at its lowest level since November 2010, when it briefly saw a surge to a recent high of $6.41 per share. The stock remains well off from a 52-week high of $8.27, reached in April 2010, and a historic high of $36.16 achieved in 2007.
    Ouch.

I find the game fun. The campaign was a let down in a few ways in that it is quite hard to get emotionally invested in any of the characters, though a few scenes in the game legitimately made me HATE the North Koreans.

The online is fun IMO and is a nice change of pace from Black Ops and the like. I'm glad I bought the game and though it's not amazing as I thought it was going to be it is still a pretty damn good game.

Just as Homefront's citizen soldiers attempt to roll back a fictionalized North Korean invasion of our homes and chain restaurants, Walmart and Amazon have valiantly rolled back the price of the newly launched game.

Just a day after Homefront's official release date, monolithic superstore Walmart began selling the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game for $41.96, both in store and online. Online purchases also include an "exclusive Goliath Drone Avatar." (The PC edition remains $49.96.)

Seemingly in response to Walmart's discount (it's unknown whether it's temporary or permanent), Amazon has dropped its Homefront console copies to exactly the same $41.96 price. The game's approaching "White Castle takeout" prices at a rapid clip!

Speaking with just MP in mind, this game is pretty good.

It does lack some things. There's essentially only TDM and GC to choose from, and the gun selection isn't extensive (six ARs, two LMGs/SMGs/Snipers and one shotgun). But the amount of weapons and vehicles you can purchase with your BP's make up for it. Also, the "Downloadable Guns" section leads me to believe that "gun packs" are in the near future.

The Infantry Abilities system is awesome. It's pretty much like setting BLU spells (for those that played FFXI). You can mix-and-match the abilities as you like as long as you have enough points.

For us console players, I think it's a great alternative to the current FPS's that we have to choose from.

No. Maps are huge, it'll only show people in the vicinity and it usually goes by too quick to even make out if they are enemies or friendlies.

    This.

The game has its faults, theres no denying that. I am enjoying it alot, and if anyone wants a break from black ops I suggest you rent the game and give it a try if anything.
