How has WotG been lame? The last update was kinda "meh" but the one prior to that with all the shit in the Northlands... that was just an epic mind fuck. I for one can't wait to see how it all ends, and yeah I'm starting to wonder as well if that last part will be the WotG equivalent to Apoc Nigh, since it's the only expansion that doesn't have a post-game quest of sorts since it's not finished yet (I count Odin & Alex as ToAU's version)

The rewards have been shit so far, we will see just how good things get here next month.

Pre-finale rewards in WoTG have been better than pre-finale rewards in other xpacs, unless you count access to an area as a reward but not sure you were.

How has it NOT been lame? It was released Nov 2007. Its taken THREE years to complete the god damn storyline, and heres how it goes:

5 minute cutscene
run around for 10 minutes
3 minute cutscene
2 hour run around quest / FIGHT

check back in 3-5 months



loop that over 10-12 times. Its fucking fail. I'm on Mission 4...not because I'm inept and cant do it, I'm on Mission 4 because I dont give a rats ass about finishing it. By the time I could resume the missions, I completely forgot what I was doing. If you dont understand this concept, do this for me:
Pick up a book, a real book, a novel, read chapter one....put it down for a month. Pick it up again, read chapter two...put it down for a month. etc etc.

I'm sitting @ like, mission ~10 waiting for it to conclude, them I'm going to do all the missions without interruption with friends.

Come on let it be Shinryu! Shin's lower body was that of a snake and upper, that of a dragon. It fits all so perfectly. And like someone mentioned, FF's shin has appeared in, he was always a super, freaked, powerful, dragon. This could be our new AV maybe?

Malacite, nobody who isn't enveloped in XI storyline is going to be excited by or pleased with WotG. Trying to change that is futile.

That said, I fucking love the expansion.

Not gonna argue that at all. But the quality of the story so far has been top-notch, easily on par with CoP if not better.
