    New Printer

    My parents are convinced the printer is eating the ink up too fast and want to get a new printer. Need something decent and not too fancy/expensive or pricey ink. I know laser is a better investment in the long run, but idk if they'll want to spring for that. Anyone have any recommendations? should i wait til black friday? are my parents crazy for thinking it's eating the ink too fast? right now, we have an Epson Stylus CX4200

    <3 my canon MP560. Wireless, has different ink for every main color instead of those all in one shit, and its part of black Friday deal at.. bestbuy i think.

    They're not crazy, never noticed most printers sell for only 20% more than a single ink cartridge? That's their business model.

    You can save a lot of money getting a refilling kit, I pay half an "official" ink cartridge price for 3 times more ink.

    hmm, I meant that the printer is eating the ink faster than it used to. If it were up to me, I'd make them document 2 rounds of printing to be sure before buying a new printer (we seem to buy a new printer every 2 years) I doubt they'd be willing to do that lol. but yeah, it's ridiculous that a basic printer costs the same as ink and even comes with it usually. I kinda assumed that a refilling kit would be messy or would leak ink, but tbh, I have no idea. I think I might as well get one on Black Friday, that Canon is only $50 a/r I'll look into refilling kits too, thanks

    There's people on e-bay and shit that sell ink from refill kits, still a lot cheaper than the store. They are just as good as the store bought ones (from whoever my wife bought them from atleast). And you don't have to deal with the kit itself.
