    Wirefly for new Cell Phones

I was trying to find a good online deal for a new cellphone, and saw an article that linked to wirefly.com. The last two times I got phones were from the store, and were set up there and everything. If ordering a phone online, do they set it up with my number?

I was reading reviews online, and a lot of people say they like Wirefly, but a few said they had trouble getting the phone set up correctly and had a hard time with customer service. A lot said they couldn't get the mail-in rebates for their phones. The one I wanted was only $150 without a rebate, where its $200 on Bestbuy.com and $300 at the Verizon store.

Whats your experience with this website, if any?

It's the same as buying over the phone from the service provider, or buying at a non-phone store. They set up the contract, number, etc and the phone arrives ready to use. Shouldn't have any problems. Use the service provider's tech support.

You're usually better off going to a phone store, though, as they often have decent deals and usually have better service packages available/can customize more/can give discounts. If it's cheaper on Wirefly, and they have the service package you want, get it there. Price is really all that matters

Be careful, I've heard of a lot of people getting scammed from there before. I work for Verizon (indirect) and I've seen both sides, some people love it, some people hate it. Be wary because I've heard them asking for copy of people's SS card and various forms of ID.
