Yo guys... Behest is absolutely INSANE.

Was getting 320sp a pop on about 40 mobs with a group of 12. lol Bloodshore Behest btw so you know level range.

Take advantage ASAP! If you thought it was good before.. you aint seen nothing. Fuck grinding. Like I see it getting nerfed cause its just so much sp all at once and every hour.

I don't think they'll nerf anything. Seems like the playerbase is actually happy with these changes.

Grindings awesome too.. what ya talking about .. solo or in a group its just crazy SP everywhere.

hell, yellow con mobs solo is near 300sp that takes me 10 seconds to kill, with a group of 5 doing mobs that were taking 20 sec or so to kill was 350-400+ sp

Which doesn't matter as much as you would think. Long term happiness > short term happiness.

It does seem kind of broken. I think they might have increased SP a little too much. I suppose it depends on what their goal is. If they want people hitting rank 50 with some ease and letting the fatigue system do its minor part, then I guess this is a success. This might be one of those "drastic changes" that was mentioned. I am so used to slow FF leveling, this just blows my mind.

It puts it on par with more "casual" playstyles, which typically means hitting max level in 1 to 2 months of play time.

Might be a good change, less of a focus on grinding/leveling and more on events and shit. Well, I think they're starting to be more like other MMOs in that regard now.

I think this change accomplishes just the opposite.

Well only because theres nothing to do outside of grinding. Once theres some content (end game dungeons, mid range dungeons, whatever) the focus will be on getting to that.

No the NMs we have no do not count. lol

Isn't that the opposite of what XIV fans what?

I dunno what classes as a XIV fan, but if it's the idiotic population then, I guess?

And intially the focus is going to be on grinding, but eventually, if the SP stays the same then the focus will have to shift to content/events, because the grind won't be too long or tedious, even for new players.

Valid point. I just don't know if that's the "FF" way of doing things. There's always been a rather large grind. Seems that the new guy is content, for the time being, to make things a bit un-FF if it means righting the ship.

Long term? Yeah, let's talk long term. You know, more than 1 day. Fatigue will help balance this. Level cap will eventually be increased. New classes will be added. More content will be added taking time away from leves and grinding.

Does this mean it's perfect as is? No one knows. Not you, me, or even the dev team. There's still quite a few changes to be made. People need to stop this knee jerk herp derpin.

There is a trick to know if you will get a glitched Leve. Its real simple: If there are 2 mobs sets left and one of the last 2 gives you the 5/5 for Necro pop, you will 100% get a glitched Leve. This seems to be near 100% with Moons Mistress (Mun-Tuy), since the mobs pop in sets of two so much.

Yeah I figured they could just ramp up fatigue instead of ramping down the rate of SP. Fatigue works better overall anyway, because if you hit the cap on one class, you just switch and you still have that solid rate of SP gain. At any rate, its an easy tweak here and there, but they're never going to make everyone happy, so they should just go with their gut decision on the issue.

Personally, I'd do anything to get people into the game, and I somehow doubt that making the leveling process slower is going to help with that.

Sure sure. Before any of that is done, all of us will be rank 50 and bitch about not having enough shit to do. "Quests are coming"? Lol.

Maybe they're fine with this. Which raises the question of what the fuck are they thinking? If you want to make the journey faster for the new population do it when said population actually exists. Changing the grind now only leaves them with bitter "endgamers" that either force SE to give up generating content for all ranks for the sake of giving the players shit to do at rank 50... or SE'll just let them bitch. Talk about that short term happiness.

But yeah, to cite a thread in ZAM, all hail the Dear Leader

    All praise Yoshi-P

    he fixed the sp system!!!

Love everything about this update today, including invisible helmets, font colors, everything.

    Great update!

What are you talking about, Fatigue is useless and only takes away our precious Freedom.

Or that's what the Glorious and Wise Masses think.

    And that's all that matters.

To contribute, I got from rank 1 to 10 in about 5 mins. I think I did two leves. SP started from 1030 (2 star) and went down from there. The first leve was Sprightly Spriggans iirc.

Well it's not like I'm the one getting shafted here. Maybe. Hopefully.

EDIT: I'll do some testing on Fatigue this week. Things may not be as bad as they seem if the fatigue actually matters now (and does what it was supposed to do).
