Apparently Virginia also wants my birth certificate. Okay, what the fuck do you think I gave them in TN to get my license? That's right, a fucking birth certificate. Why exactly do I need to provide that again? They're just going to ask for additional documents after that because my last name has changed. Dumb shit, yo.

I had the almost exact opposite experience in CA; I roll in with my NC drivers, social, lease agreement, bank statements to prove my new address, passport, and a certified copy of my birth certificate. They looked at my driver's license and told me to fill in my address on the form, and they didn't ask for fucking shit. I was horrified.
