    I'm thinking it does matter and it was intentional. But the more I think about it, I kind of agree with it. You should not be HQing things your'e under rank of or equal rank of with such such high frequency. And honestly, +3s are fucking powerful, it's effectively a 30% buff to the items' stats. They want to make sure you're using lots of +3 mats if you're going for +3 items. It shouldn't just be as simple as throwing a bunch of crap into the window with a high level and busting out a +3, it should require a dedicated effort.

    Every star is a 10% bonus to the stat. It's a little less than 10% actually because it's really N * Floor[Stat * .1], and the floor knocks off a bit. So like if a stat is 29, then HQ1 would add Floor[2.9] = 2 to the stat, giving 31(+6.8%), HQ2 would give +4 = 33(13.8%), and HQ3 would give +6 = 35(20.7%).

    So because of the floor function, the percent bonus isn't constant.

    I've only verified this with a Birdsbeak Hammer, but I've also seen other people report the +10% / star, so I assume it's probably consistent across all other items.

    I'm curious to see if they did lower runspeed, or if it's just the perceived effects of having the camera angle changed.

    They appear to have changed the icons of a lot of things that were originally represented by little brown paper packages and whatnot.

    P.S. Now I can't catch a Lamp Marimo in Cassiopeia Hollow to save my life.

    On the Wight leve at Camp Horizon, it seems they changed the spawn position of one of the skeleton groups. They don't spawn on top of one another anymore and the three groups of two are actually spread out (the ones separated from the pair near camp). Good change there.

    As far as Ul'dah's leves go, they changed the leve with sand yarzons in Camp Drybone and now they spawn much closer to where you have to run to.

    Did the guildleve NPC always state how many leves can be issued at any time? It does now.

    Figures. Fucking stars man, just add a bit to the stats and be done with it.

    All the equipment I've seen is the ceiling of 5% per star, so 5/10/15%.
    For example, decorated bone staff is 66 m.atk 104 m.acc, and 146400 durability.
    I have a +2, which gives 73 m.atk 115 m.acc, 161040 durability.
    ceil( 66 * 1.1 ) = ceil ( 72.6 ) = 73
    ceil( 104 * 1.1 ) = ceil (114.4 ) = 115
    146400 * 1.1 = 161040

    Mining no longer displays the "You feel something promising." message. Now it's just "closer to the mark", "farther from the mark", "nothing promising" and "close to something but cannot yet extract" messages. I assume this is the same for other gathering classes as well. One person told me they saw this message but i personally have not seen it since the update, even when i've been right next to the sweet spot. So maybe it's a bug instead?

    Prospect now grants the quickening effect when farther than 400 yalms from a Mining Point. I assume this is the same with other gathering locate abilities as well.

    Edit: Crafting sound effects have been toned down. Seems like less bass in them now or something, much less annoying.

    I feel like I'm getting way more dyers moss since the update. Was extremely rare before, but I got nearly 2 stacks of it on Saturday. Not sure if they said in the notes when they were talking about the treasure boxes being targetable, but they look different now. Rust colored and stuff, much easier to find in gridania or limsa, harder in uldah. Also <t> with a box selected doesn't show the ??? name.

    Anyone notice a change in required rank to repair things?

    Repaired the following:
    - Leather Wristguard (r23) as Leatherworker r12 (11 rank difference)
    - Cotton Trousers (r28) as Weaver r14 (14 rank difference)

    Still unable to repair:
    - Leather Duckbills (r21) as Leatherworker r12 (19 rank difference)
    - Skull Eyepatch +1 (r33) as Leatherworker r12 (21+5 rank difference)
    Looks like the range went from 10 to 15.

    Maybe this is a fluke, or was mentioned in the notes. But has anyone noticed that retainers are wearing some of the gear they are selling as a visual indicator? I was in Uldah today and saw a retainer with a brass spear, one with a battle fork, one in canvas cloth gear and some others wearing items that were in their bazaar when I checked.

    Is it just me or were retainers not able to be summoned at bells while selling stuff in markets pre-patch? I went to a bell the other day and was able to summon my retainer after i had just set him up in a market. I had to set him back up again in a market afterwards though.

    Very strange, because I know it was Floor of 10% with a Birdsbeak Hammer, although this was about 6 weeks ago when I tested. Either something has changed recently, there are different categories of items which benefit differently.

    Most likely the market ward crashed. That happens sometimes, and he'll disappear from the wards and can then be summoned anywhere.

    Retainers sometimes disappear after setting them up, it's a bug. I watched mine disappear right in front of my eyes while crafting.
    They also depop after maintenance of course.
