People use Hasty Hand?
I'm not sure it was directly mentioned in the patch, but in addition to stack 999, all arrow synths that were originally x32 output are now x333.
Which is now pretty boss
When the mats for something cost a mere fraction of its potential selling price, and you have less than a 50% chance of succeeding on a regular synth attempt, you can Hasty Hand through several sets of materials and make a killing.
(QED lol)
Yes, but Hasty Hand still has a 10~15-ish% chance of failing even if you're 20-30 levels over the synth. He's saying if you are using Hasty Hand, you are going to get less from the same amount of materials (albeit complete the synths faster) compared to Standard spam.
assuming that regular craft has a 100% success rate... which is as wrong as saying that the success rate of hasty hand is low.
made like 90 synth the other day using hasty hands to turn cotton bolls into threads and borked (100+ durability loses) only 5 times. that's not within the 10% failure range. 5 full fail for about ~10 break with 50 durability loses that all succeed on normal synth. maybe I was lucky or maybe success rate of hasty hand is different from a craft/item to another?
Let's say that Hasty Hand is 10% failure and standard synth is 0% failure (not accurate IMO, but whatever).
If there was an ability that cost 10% of my mats to synth 600%? 700%? more product in the same time frame, I would be happily spamming that ability for any mass-synthed item.
Once you are X over a synth, I highly doubt you can even critically fail Hasty Hand anymore period. I haven't crit failed a Cotton Boll since 25-26 (At 31 now)
You do get the 50% break, but you just standard spam out of it and still have a great chance at HQ.
seems they ninja-reduced the amount of SP to hit surplus (for craft?). just hit surplus and the only thing I did for the past 4 days are local leves for weaving... friend reporting the same thing and we're both not playing craft hardcore. sunday i grinded weaver for 20k SP to get to rank 33 and since sunday all I did were leves and random craft for 27k SP. don't remember hitting surplus after reaching only less than 50SP. before sunday I only did leves for a week. And ls friend report that she didn't even grind, she only did local leves and hit surplus.
Weird, I've gotten ARM from Locked to 19.5 before hitting surplus (105k Skill points)
My ALC which was 0 yesterday is now 17 still no surplus
and just hit EXP surplus going from 23 to 32.5 in just a few days (nearly a million EXP I think?)
reported it as a glitch. doubt it's normal as my friend seems to have gotten less thank 50K since I last checked her profile on lodestone. made the math and since last week same day I got lless than 80K SP total for weaving. totally pissed off atm, even wrote fu in the bug report. :/
Stupid shit like that is probably what bogs down actual/more serious issues from getting investigated. Surplus has been occasionally popping early since day 1, and if it does... it doesn't take any of your SP/EXP but merely gives the message in the log and changes the number to yellow. And usually fixes itself at your next rank up. A minor annoyance at best, certainly not a 'ninja change' with the patch.
I just rofl'ed reading this. don't act you know everything when you merely know nothing. never heard of people randomly hitting surplus for no reason before. prove me otherwise?
I never hit surplus for a job before and I grinded SP more than just doing leves. I hit surplus for phy level 2 or 3 times, it was gone the next day and I knew I hit surplus for PHY level for a reason. here I reported it because I didn't hit surplus for a reason AND i'm not the only one who hit it by just doing leves. Furthermore, I'm certain a good bunch of SP was being removed as I was crafting the same item after surplus kicked in.
if it's a glitch that happens since day 1, isn't surplus, something part of the SP gain system, a serious issue? What's more serious than a glitch with the SP system?
I call non serious issues like the text of fast fast not showing 20% but still showing 10% like the recent known issue that was posted today
http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com...050e3c496c1369
something I reported sometimes last week.
Every issue should be reported. end of the story. After it's to them to make what issue is a priority or not.
Ninja change, borked? who knows. maybe Jesus? lol...
I'm more surprised thats a "major issue"...
