Halp find me a monitor!
I basically have the worst timing.. One of my two 23" monitors got a crack in the glass due to dumb family members screwing around near it, so I want to get a new set (going to give the one good one to a family member and they are going to help me pay for two new ones)
This happened right after all of the decent weekend deals on monitors became either sold out, or unavailable.
I'm looking for 23" or 24" monitors with an HDMI and DVI input. A lot of the deals had ones around 150, and I'd like to stay under 170 if possible, I know cyber monday is tomorrow so hopefully something good will pop up. If anyone sees anything, or has suggestions to something currently available, please let me know!
I don't know how good AOC is (I've heard the name but I usually stick with Acer or Asus) this is the only thing I see right now that may be worth it in my price range. Not sure on quality at all and reviews are sparse.

Someday I will but right now I just don't have the money for it (poor college kid, etc)
So far these 3 are the ones I'm looking at, in the order of what I'll end up getting:

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...576&CatId=4420
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824009255
I'm kindof torn between 1 & 2... The stand on 1 is just weird, but the monitor itself has better specifications technically. 2 will also be significantly more expensive, because tiger will do shipping + the price is higher, doesn't seem like much to gain from paying more.

3rd one has a 12,000,000 : 1 contrast ratio

They're all gimp-ass 16:9.

To his credit I did not see a single 16:10 monitor on sale throughout all of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, lol. I was looking for one for my cousin and the best deals I saw were for B and have since sold-out on Newegg. :/

How do these stack up? I can't really find any definitive ratings on monitors and cnet's site is a fucking mess.

I think I read here that Samsung uses some cheap caps in their monitors that causes them to fizzle out after a few years so I'm leery about that option.

Find a top-rated ASUS on NewEgg, buy it on Amazon to avoid taxes and fees, and enjoy your new monitor.

I'm in the market for a new monitor as well, but living in Canadia leaves me with a more limited selection. Does anyone have experience with LED backlight monitors? The prices seem very reasonable from what I've checked out so far. The ones I've been looking at are the ViewSonic 22" LED monitor and Asus 23" LED monitor.
