Tv Show Recommendations

I've been unemployed and an insane level of bored for the last few months, and I've exhausted the last few TV shows I wanted to watch. Below is a list of all the TV shows I've watched, there's a few extra that I may have deleted or watched live, but that's pretty much it.

Can anyone recommend shows not on that list that I should probably watch?

Breaking Bad without a doubt. Best show I've ever seen.
Sons of Anarchy is nearly as good. Right up there with Dexter I would say.
I've heard very good things about The Shield and Boardwalk Empire, though I haven't gotten around to watching them yet.
Firefly is absolutely amazing. Same guy that did Dollhouse, except that Firefly was good from start to finish rather than shaky at points like Dollhouse was.
One I rarely see mentioned is Veronica Mars. I was skeptical at first, but it ended up being a decent show.
I also never got around to watching The Sopranos, but given it's popularity, I'm guessing it was another amazing show.

Of the ones mentioned, I've seen but for whatever reason don't have them downloaded: Rescue Me, Californication, Top gear, 24, chuck, eureka, farscape, entourage, firefly and lost girl.

I'm currently downloading Human Target, Leverage and plan to follow with maybe Reaper and Primeval.

I've known of shows like The shield, the wire, breaking bad for awhile, but for some reason I just don't seem to enjoy them very much. I'm inclined to assume that this is because I'm British and some cultural differences keep me from seeing it the same way.

I notice you have 'Rules of Engagement on your list. Excellent sitcom, despite the presence of David Spade. Really under-rated.

I think you should get some old school 80s stuff, like The A-Team or Remington Steele or Moonlighting.

chances are i've seen most of the old school stuff through reruns on satellite TV, that's why I generally never have any of them downloaded. watched deadwood on TV. I'll keep wiki'ing new shows named as these downloads work their way through.

I appreciate everyone's input so far, 2 episodes into human target now and enjoying it.
