i dont have polutils on this computer, but i'm curious... are the Scroll Items changed yet? If they scrolls have been changed to reflect jobs post-90, it's safe to say (unfortunately) we're going past 90 this update. I doubt they'd update the scrolls to show jobs/levels that can't be used yet (ex. Break)

After seeing how they handled Alex & Odin, I wouldn't be surprised if they finally caved and gave us Bahamut & Phoenix in the same fashion - Astral Flow, 1-shot deals with very powerful effects.


Go go AoE Raise 3 with no weakness + AoE Fire damage (Rebirth Flame <3)

Assuming they do in fact do this, they need to change Bahamut's Gigaflare to non-elemental and ignore magic defense/resistance.


Accession + Regain is going to be some sexy shit... does that make Voracious Violet better or worse though for DD? I guess we won't really know the full the answer to that until we see the new atmas. Ultima is also traditionally in the same boat as mega/giga/terra flare btw - non-elemental, magic def ignoring AoE damage and I'd be astonished if SCH got anything remotely close to that. If anything, BLM would get it possibly as a lv 99 merit.

As a SMN who wants more avatars more than anything, let me say that SE said no such thing. They only said "More was coming down the line." More WHAT, they did not say. The translation on the english page was sketchy as always.

Well true, but I honestly doubt we'll be getting only one. So far we have gotten some nice changes but nothing groundbreaking. Last update was quite disappointing outside of gear if you ask me.
Anyway this time we can expect at least 3 new BPs: Garuda, Ifrit and Shiva.
They seem to be following the elemental order so I assume those are next.
Hopefully we're getting something nice.
All I'm gonna say is that if BLM does get Meteor at the end, we better get Bahamut.

Wrong. If they continue with the BP progression, there is enough room for Garuda, Ifrit, Shiva, Ramuh, Diabolos, Carbuncle, and Fenrir to all get Wards, and then merit BPs for the elemental avatars to replace Pred Claws and the like.

Also they strictly stated that in order to give us Bahamut, they felt they would have to dumb him down, which they didn't want to do. I don't want that either. Phoenix? I'd be fine with Phoenix, because I want a light avatar that isn't half gimped like Carbuncle. Hell, I've been lobbying for a Pixie avatar because I like them so much.

But yeah, like Necromancer, we probably will never see Bahamut. I'm not going to call anything impossible given the new FFXI team, but I would call these highly unlikely.

Elementals don't appear to be fusion, distortion, etc. Instead, they appear to be a blend of Light and Darkness components. Looks to be water/light, ice/wind, earth/lightning, fire/dark.
