Me too I though it was permenante, but since I stop playing FFXI i never really read so far about it...

It's nice to have this discount until March for ppl playing FFXI, but I think they should give free month or at less a discount on FFXIV until March too, with the entire bug that will probably only be fix at the PS3 release...

I originally thought the discount was permanent as long as you had a XIV and XI account active at the same time. Makes sense at least. Free XIV til PS3 release go!

Original release on SE's site linked to the same page as this new one, so they updated it.

The offer used to end in January I believe, it was never meant to be permanent.

Yeah it always says the offer ended in January, I just assumed that meant you had until January to link the accounts and get XI for $7; after that point XI would always be $7 as long as you had both active. Oh well, guess my friend who uses my account got a discount for awhile at least.

I like the extension, since I'm still sorta on the fence about FFXIV.

I haven't received any discount, so I assumed it didn't start until we started paying for FFXIV. If that's the case then this extension makes sense with the added free months.
