Any advantages to staying Alliance?

This was done to prevent the economy from being flooded with overly valuable items, and to ensure that players weren't acquiring too much gold during what we'd consider a reasonable amount of play-time.

I know human spirit racial was nerfed to the ground. It now only applies to your base spirit stat and at 80 that means you have 6 or 8 more spirit then any other race (lol).. i forgot which. How was draeni nerfed though? 1% hit is still OP and now w/ the reforging it's even more powerful of a racial. Its no longer party wide, but that was hax to begin w/

no longer an aura, only dranei gets the benefit, i dont mind though lol

I've played Alliance main on all my characters since I started 20 months ago, took every single one of 'em to Horde about four weeks back, and have absolutely no discernible difference in my gameplay. Only reason I faction changed was because raiding on a schedule has become a bitch for me due to RL, and horde side on Area52 has the best pug environment I've found on a PvE realm.

I don't even notice that much of a difference in the racials. I miss my 1% hit from being a draenei a bit, but the orc spellpower racial hasn't made much of a difference, and the troll haste buff would do nothing for me since it wouldn't buff me enough to affect the # of my LB casts between procs/LvB cooldowns. XD

I do love being a Thrall groupie though. <3 Thrall. (Fuck Wrynn.)

If pvp is what you care about, horde racials are sooooo far ahead now it's just beyond silly.

On Terrokar (EU) when I rolled a Blood Elf DK to play with some work mates as my first ever horde char, I noticed people being very friendly compared to alliance =p -- and people actually socialised in randoms!!

But I guess I either got a good streak of luck in randoms or/and this shouldn't even matter.

Our entire guild decided to go to Horde for Cataclysm since some of us have been playing since the game started and just wanted a change. And apart from the lore nothing is really all that different, you still get the retards in trade chat, bad people in pugs and all the normal stuff you would see on alliance.

The one thing that is different for my battlegroup as Horde, is that the queue for them is like 10x longer then Alliance will get, so whilst you are constantly doing a BG even if it is a loss, assuming it isn't a whitewash, you aren't waiting 15 minutes to get into one and are probably getting the same amount of honor/hour.

The one thing i would say as a personal preference, the Lore behind the Horde is ten times better then Alliance in my eyes, but as you mentioned nothing of it in your post, you probably aren't bothered by this.

Odd. Obviously your a Shaman but for a Mage the racial is absolutely godly, I can understand how it benefits mages more since T10 put them into a position where they are centered around a burn phase so a racial that greatly increases casting during that phase is good. At the same time the Shaman would benefit from it during a burn phase too, even if Shamans don't do anything really besides Potion + Heroism + Racial.

I've played both Horde and Alliance on many toons and the statement of always feeling like you are on the bad side is mostly accurate, but not always.

The server I've been on for a over a year now I was alliance at first. Horde out numbered us, and almost always won wintergrasp both offensively and defensively, and felt like they won more BG's on the battlegroup. Because we were outnumbered by the amount that it was, Horde seemed like the better faction to play on this specific server. More people, more pugs, more guilds, etc etc. It was difficult forming arena teams on alliance, since there were only a few players of each class above 2k rating, but horde side had more players, so more people to form teams with. BG Win/Loss will always seem greener on the other side of the faction, but it's very misleading. This is not server based, its battlegroup based, and you need to look at battlegroup forums for info on which severs specifically have you faction winning more. I'm sure if one faction is dominating BG's with a 80%+ win rate, then the ques are probably long as fuck as all the other faction transfers to a different Battlegroup.

As alliance it felt like Horde won most, but now as Horde it feels the opposite, if not at least closer to 50-50. Certain BG's our one faction does win more often however, same for theirs. For a while now though, BG ques have been really long as horde, not sure how alli have it.

As mentioned, yeah horde won wintergrasp on my server almost every time, probably 75-90% of the time. If you went to WG as horde, you pretty much won. Always guaranteed to get every daily done, etc. Tol Borad as mentioned, will be different.

There is not many true advantages to either faction. Racials are closer than they used to be, albeit horde are slightly favored for pvp. It's really about looks and what your friends play. I for one, absolutely love how some Horde races look. Almost every single alliance toon I ever had was a Human Female. I have 2 Orcs, 2 Tauren, a BE all at 80 and soon I will have a Troll as well as whatever I make my shaman. I just like how armor looks on Horde characters, specifically plate.

Choose whatever looks better to you and your friends play. You will settle down and be happy no matter what. There are some slight advantages, at least in my eyes, to playing the more populated race on the server... but as far as BG's go, horde might win a hair more often, but the ques are a loooooooot longer. You can probably do 2 BG's in the time it takes me to do 1 as horde, if not more than 2.

The Orc racial at 80 isn't that much, but lol wait till 85.

I understand Blizzard want to keep pvp around, but what happened to the leader is kinda stupid. It's like every leader are trying to do shit on purpose (except maybe Tyrande, Tauren lead and a few dwarf).
