lol, it took 20-30 years for the medical field to finally admit to fibro being real, and not just a bunch of ppl whining/looking for attention/pills. I think its a big strech to think they will have a good cure/better fix by then. ( it doesn't get the attention/funding that breast cancer/MS/etc gets) And if there isn't, its not a good mindset to think its 'ok' to get a condition that severely interferes with every aspect of your life when your in the prime of your life.

That's some bullshit right there. Just because she is carrying it doesn't mean it should be up to her 100%, especially if she couldn't even take care of the kid on her own. They should talk it out like adults. He shouldn't just leave it up to some chick who can't even take care of herself and lock him in for 18 years.

Bitches man, they plot and scheme.

Bartender. Lots of cheddar to be made if you're good.

    Also, abortion.

The scariest part of this thread is reasonably intelligent adults (arguable now I guess) who have no way of supporting a child (who could have medical issues) chose to have unprotected sex. I just don't understand this.

Humans are really stupid when it comes to physiological needs. Those drives happen on a subconscious level pretty much.

Well, I don't want to advocate the pull-out method in general because it is not safe against STDs, but it is not as bad a method of birth control as some people are making it out to be. But only if you are in a steady, committed, STD-free relationship I think. When done correctly it has a very low failure rate, but of course, not many guys do it correctly.

My husband and I used it for a year without any resulting pregnancy. But again, committed STD-free relationship going on here.

    Please use condoms.

God that situation blows. I'll parrot what people have been saying, abortion or adoption. For the job, just start going to all sorts of places and ask if they're hiring. I'd do this no matter what you decide to do about the potential baby.

Personally, I don't think I'd ever get involved with a person who has a "condition" to begin with.

You hit the nail on the head why people are against it. The chances of people consistently doing it correctly for years is way lower than people using a condom/pill correctly. It is a pretty bad method because it is hard to keep doing it correctly, when there's no reason to do it because we have condoms and pills.

I track gf's cycle and use pullout on supposedly safe days. Been good for 5 years so far . Hopefully I haven't just jinxed myself.

She's almost always game for sex, is sleeping 10-14 hours a day so I get time to myself and can't do much other than sit and watch anime/tv/movies/play games, so that's what she's into. So once I can land a job, if there is no kid around, I'll get all my free time spent gaming, watching TV and having sex with my girl. Sounds pretty fine to me.

So it seems some of my closer friends are supporting a "keep it" option, saying you can get lots of support for the baby to get clothes/food and you'll feel bad with abortion or adoption in the long run (which I know we would on some level). We're pretty clear on not going with abortion, so it's adoption vs keep it now. And that'll probably depend on how I go with employment and how much family support we're going to get.

You haven't even told your parents yet have you?

That's probably the first fucking step right there. The second is definitely considering abortion.

People need to realize that you can't just have a kid if you fuck up if you're not ready for it. Kids should be planned, always. Not, I fucked up, I'll have it anyway. Kids life gonna suck, yours is gonna suck.

I'm not trying to be mean like other posters, but *seriously* consider it. Even married people who don't plan for kids still have troubles, and you guys are nowhere even near that level yet, as you make it seem.
