I'm not really for abortion unless there's a solid reason behind it (such as you were raped and got pregnant, the pregnancy can kill the mother due to some fucked up illness). Having an abortion cause you thought pulling out was a kick ass way to do it isn't saying much for you. If you two do go through with that enjoy having that memory hang over you the rest of your life.

Going the route of adoption would be something you may way to heavily consider. They may even be able to cover medical expenses. So many couples out there are desperate to have a child because they can't have their own.

The military is not such a hot idea. You will never see the child grow up due to sitting your ass in Iraq somewhere or wherever else the Government decides we need to play world police at. Of course never being around may be something that interests you. Child care on bases usually completely suck ass are not cheap by any stretch, mainly because your basic pay sucks ass so much. There's also a huge overflow going on of new recruits due to everyone either A) being patriotic, aka being dumbass children that are naive to the world, and think it's their duty to serve their country. I personally find this to be the stupidest reason to join the military. Or B) the economy sucks ass and the military is a guaranteed paycheck and benefits. A huge majority fall under B so you could easily be rejected or sit in a holding status until they find room to send you off to basic, which does you no good due to all your current issues.[/FONT][/COLOR]

Oh and the sleeping all day is just the first stage of the fibro, its gonna get a whole lot worse before it gets better. If your committed to this girl only because you get lots of sex, and lots of free time (while she is sleeping) then you will need to re-evaluate your relationship with her (and not throw a god damned baby into it as well). She is sleeping/ in bed all the time because she hurts like goddamn hell, and moving hurts 30x worse... hate to break it to ya, but she is gonna have to start moving around to get better.

It sounds like you have *no* idea what your getting into with a fibro girlfriend, let alone being clueless to how much work a baby is. Your gonna have 2 ppl who cry, scream, get hysterical and you wont be there to comfort either of them because you will be working full time. Not getting enough sleep is the biggest factor in making fibro pain worse, and guess what? ppl don't get sleep with a newborn around...

Oh and don't listen to your friends about whether you should keep the baby or not.... Most ppl don't understand how fucking hard living with fibro is, nor how hard it is on the person who is supporting the one with fibro. They are not taking the fibro into account when they say you can take care of the kid just fine.

I mean come on, after 5 years I'm at a stage where I can *almost* keep up with my grandma... and she works, and i don't. I just wish fibro's could get disability, but that takes a fucking miracle. If my husband wasn't willing to work 50-60hours a week, then come home and take care of me/cook/clean/housekeep then we would of needed to find a way to afford a live in caretaker.... its that serious for years. I'm just now at a point where i can reliably take care of myself and do some of the housework as well.

I'm well aware of what I'm getting into with a Fibro girlfriend. The first week of dating it was non-stop Fibro information. We have practically lived together since we started dating as well, it was an instant connection, "love at first sight" type things. I often fall hard, but this was completely different. The whole sex/I can do anything speech was just because that's what most guys "value" in a relationship at this stage/on this forum.

Fibro isn't new to her, and she believes that the baby could be just what she needs to really start recovering/getting through it because the baby is so much more important than her aching. This may be an idealistic view, but it's not something impossible. There are plenty of women on Fibro that can still handle full time jobs. Normally these women already had the jobs/work experience before they were hit by it, which made that easier. But still, she has the potential to be there and not be completely worthless all the time. She can mostly take care of herself already, get food, wash clothes, general housework, etc. She just takes advantage of me doing all that for her and sleeps some more to feel better.

I know it's going to be hard, and won't be easy. But I'm looking for another answer than abortion. She's maybe 10% on abortion, I'm teetering between 0 and 33% (I really don't like it morally, but I realize it's the "easy" and rational option). I'm looking for a way to get my stuff together, fast. Like I did say earlier, I have a way to get us support most likely through my parents, or our friends, etc. So we should be fine on having a roof over our heads (for free if need be) and apparently the government can take care of a lot of clothes/food, so just a good part-time job may be enough to get us through the early years, allowing me to be around, and then I'll move to full-time after a bit to help later on. Yes, this is an idealistic view, but I'd rather go with positive thinking than continually think about the bad, just read the latest xkcd for a bit of an explanation why.
