Well I would assume most atheists recognize religious art as just that artwork, ya know the kind of stuff that belongs in a museum.

You're an idiot. I don't know of any atheist organization that's offended by the presentation of religious imagery in an art gallery. Since, you know, religious art makes up a significant portion of European art history. No one with a brain thinks that it counts as proselytizing. It's usually the religious folk who get offended when their myths aren't depicted exactly as they imagine.

Apparently not the Atheists like myself. Religious art is just paintings of stories, IE: fantasy illustrations (people with wings, men and women with glowing lights around their heads, women and men with blue skin and extra arms, etc etc). Pretty much almost all of the 'important' old art is based off of the Bible.

I was more offended the Conservatives are all pissy over some little ants rather than all the hate mongering followers they seem to have attracted.
