Clearly someone like you who doesn't wear scarves wouldn't understand their appeal.

edit: And shouldn't the inclusion of either kind of truffle depend more on what dish she and her friends are getting?

Meritage is very nice (I think Valisk mentioned it), I prefer the top of the hub though. The atmosphere/view/food are amazing. Its classy, I don't think you'd feel out of place dressing up there at all.

Thank you for the suggestions, there are many places to pick from. I'm just hoping that they are really classy. We are all bringing about $150 just in case.

Thank you Sath, we have decided to go here. And by hear I mean Top of the Hub at the Prudential Center. Anyone near Boston want to join us on the 27th of December for dinner? Haha.

Enjoy! Not sure if the menu will still be the same but the lobster in ginger sauce is to die for.

Boston globe is actually doing a article on top 25 things to do, for under $25 in boston. Incase you want to check out other things besides dinner.

    3. Rise to the Top after a snowfall
You'll want to time it before the snowplows do their thing in the city streets, but what better view of Boston might there be following a snowstorm than at the Top of the Hub? You can either do the skywalk observatory ($12 adults/$8 children/$10 students and seniors) or you can warm up with the restaurant's warm chocolate cake ($10) and a cup of coffee or tea.

Yes, it has a more distinctive stronger pungent taste, it's heavenly. Trust me.

No, most upmarket 2-3 Michelin restaurants work their menu around the truffles.

Even the most simple dishes can be lifted up with the taste of truffles.

For eg, i had this last week

Truffle mashed potatoes....with more truffles on top. It's heavenly.

If you can sucker Sath into going, I would definitely make a trip to see my friend up there. No joke, I would travel for Sath and Caiti.

I understand that but aren't you supposed to pair black truffles w/ certain stuff and white w/ others?

Looks to be black truffles in the mashed potatoes, my experience w/ french cuisine is that you do white truffles on starches/salads and black w/ meat?

Went there again today and ordered the same quail stuffed foie gras with truffle mash, just to take a better pic for you.

Do the mexicans (or I guess pakis since its England) that work in that kitchen not know how to plate wop? Pretty inconsistent day to day, 2nd plate just looks sloppy as fuck. Also is that really a fucking PILE of herbs separate from the food; is it supposed to be the side salad in your daughter's kids meal?

Hmm. Those plates look great if you ask me. Elegant dinners like that aren't known for fast food portions.

Fancy food; pay more to get less. What the fuck does 'fancy' matter if you're stopping off for food on the way home?

A meal that's a couple hundred bucks and the equivalent of 3 pieces of sushi in each course.

That's because the first pic was actually the tasters menu, 10 courses.

Yesterday, I ordered the alacarte of the same dish, but as a main course instead of small portion, hence u see 3 pieces instead of 2 lol
