Hmmm interesting change to TH...
At first I was pretty upset that I have to change my gear set to +TH items but what if this change is different...
Up to now TH is always stacked before the mob dies or just in the beginning of the fight and its a debuff on the mob.
What if we look at it another way...
As we know everything has a cap i.e. Crit hit rate caps at 50%
So with what they say now, each hit you put on to a mob the change of items dropping increases... well I'm positive there will be a cap to this. What if +TH items increases the ability to hit that cap faster?
You lose way too much by going /blm. Stun won't cut it really when you're giving up Gravity, Convert and Fast Cast. Not to mention that /rdm still allows more freedom to the SCH, especially when we get Haste from it.
Sublimation is getting much better now and there should be another increase at 95 bringing us to -2 HP/tick --> 8 MP/tick. And that's not counting the effect from old and possibly new gear. Much better than Refresh and possibly Refresh II, we'll just have to see how it works and if our gear has been changed as well.
I really like where the job is going.
COR main could use more Quick Draw charges though.
200% crit rate = ODD + crit proc?
TH upgrade is nice. Gonna resume my TH testing now and try my hand at one-shotting another 300 rabbits in Palborough Mines, and see the difference with my previous results. If nothing changes, then the base rate is unchanged.
Next step will be to slowly kill them to death with a useless weapon and see if that increases TH. We're not sure what increases TH: might be crit hit, raw dmg, or just a hit will do. Very interesting to say the least.
While 300 kills probably seems like a lot when you're in there doing it, it's not really a statistically-significant number for testing TH.
RE: THF stuff, finally we can remove AA/TK/RP+2 stigma from our job. Combined with new DW/SB tiers from /nin, promising update.
Regarding SB, using /nin, Rajas and Heed Ring with potential use of Auric drastically cuts down on enemy tp frequency.
EDIT: with little/no loss in damage unless Auric which is still decent!
boosting last resort would be rly overpowered right now guys
I agree with you, but only on non-Abyssea content. Gravity? 95% of NMs are immune, and NQ mobs die in 2 nukes, you'd be better off just nuking some more. Convert? Rarely if ever used/necessary. On the other hand, Stun is extremely useful for several NMs, as are shadows. I won't deny losing the /RDM Fast Cast is a downside, but it rarely makes things possible that wouldn't be otherwise like Stun and Utsusemi can.You lose way too much by going /blm. Stun won't cut it really when you're giving up Gravity, Convert and Fast Cast. Not to mention that /rdm still allows more freedom to the SCH, especially when we get Haste from it.

On a tangent, if you're BLM90/RDM45 in Abyssea post-update, you're retarded. /SCH will own the shit out of it for non-Utsu situations.
No, you just use BLM for stupid things. There's only two reasons to be BLM in Abyssea, and none of them work while /SCH.
You're so right, I hate bringing a job that can farm TEs for the entire group solo, proc a good share of grellow triggers, Stun, and easily duo just about every NM in the place. What was I thinking?
Its really quite simple. As our idiotic friend here is about to realize, you a) can't efficiently solo-farm anything on BLM without Phalanx(which is, minimum, ~600 damage/pull mitigated), b) cut your grellow opportunities drastically by not being /NIN, c) shouldn't ever be bringing a BLM solely for stun(sup most support jobs that lose next to nothing by being /DRK), and d) are just flat-out retarded for being /SCH in a serious duo.
Farming TEs: Aspirga, 3rd Sleepga, Windstorm
Grellow: Alacrity
Stun: Stun
Duoing NMs: Varies by NM; for now I prefer /NIN, but with the addition of Aquaveil/Stoneskin/Blink to /SCH, becomes much more viable. Also storms.
Now tell me why you wouldn't want to be /SCH over /RDM for any of this.
lola) can't efficiently solo-farm anything on BLM without Phalanx(which is, minimum, ~600 damage/pull mitigated)
Why doesn't your duo partner have access to a subjob?cut your grellow opportunities drastically by not being /NIN
Who said anything about this?shouldn't ever be bringing a BLM solely for stun(sup most support jobs that lose next to nothing by being /DRK)
A serious duo knows how to bounce hate so that nobody ever gets hit, ever.are just flat-out retarded for being /SCH in a serious duo.
